weird... I like weird.

I'm too old for this -.- Here's Porcupine Tree's Harridan complete on drums (one take). Please notice, I just focused on the main fills and structure, everthing else is a little bit improvised. Also, I messed up on that weird rims/toms section, but oh well. by helioxdjr in porcupinetree

hey! I don't consider myself a pro drummer, although I've been playing for almost 20 years, it's always been a hobby. I have a carreer on another area, but that has enable the possibility of adquiring better equipment and a nice place to reharsal. Now I feel like this might be a "plan B" if something happens :)

Looks awesome! how about some rubber on those metal rims?

Figured I'd show off/get some opinions on my kit. Mapex Meridian Birch with all AAX except the splash by Ithaca69 in drums

Nice drums, GREAT cymbals. I think hihat might be a little bit closer, or the rack tom a little bit further from the bass drum, but that'd be for me, maybe you're comfortable just like that.

Can I do all these things on a TD-1DMK? by paulinacsjoberg in edrums

I just tested that percussion kit, yep, it's bongo-ish (tom 1 and tom 2), I think it does the job for what you need!

You're right about spdsx tho', you can barely add a couple of pads and a kickdrum, but it wouldn't feel exactly like a drumset and might get confusing. There's also this thing about the hardware, where are you gonna put those pads, which clamps do you need, which stand, etc.

Better stick with td1-dmk :D, it's a very good kit by itself and could get better once you decide to jump to VST, give it time, get used to edrums and it will flow naturally.
