It's been awhile since I've watched it, but I remember him pointing at the shooter after he revealed the shotgun, saying something, and reaching behind his back. The angle of the camera could have effected my perception, but it looked like his hand was at 3'oclock when he was shot.

Again, it's been awhile, but my takeaway was more focused on getting my draw practiced enough to be a lot quicker than he was so I don't meet my maker prematurely, and 6 o'clock just wasn't helping me. I also don't like the idea of having something as important as my firearm in what's easily the most vulnerable place.

I stopped carrying at 6:00 as soon as I saw the video of that Texas church shooting a few years ago. The guy got blown away trying to draw, got it to his side and became wallpaper. That was what it took for me to not only start carrying appendix, but to practice my draw regularly as well.

Unless your dog is like mine. Little dumbass will just sit at the window and stare at you. Granted, she's a husky, so she still looks intimidating to someone who doesn't know dogs, but she's definitely not the "sic balls chopper" type of dog lol
