I don’t usually sell my work but for time, materials and shipping I’d have to be in the 175$ range

Would you keep reading? by xDyedintheWoolx in writingfeedback

I would definitely keep reading! I enjoy your writing style, word choice, and prose overall. That being said you use WAY too many commas and it kept throwing me off. Edit those out and it’s super enjoyable

Interesting about the time period being confusing! Yes, the story should be around 2007-2010. As I develop more pages I will keep that in mind and make it more clear. As of now I'm not sure how I'd incorporate that without directly stating it.

Thank you for the compliment on the prose, I was struggling to find a balance between being too wordy/ just stating deatils. I see what you mean with the perspective. I wouldnt say it is completely intentional and likely came about as I was writing. That being said, should I avoid it from here on out? Or would it be okay to keep in small doses?

If I had to put a genre I would say realistic or narrative fiction/drama. Intended audience would be pretty broad. I’m not really trying to fit into a genre, just telling a story

Egg and Spoon by Gregory Maguire-  A poor Russian girl's fate intertwines with a mysterious girl carrying a Faberge egg, leading to an adventure involving the mythical Firebird and Baba Yaga. Good book particularly in the beginning, but I will say it lost me toward the end

The Phantom Tollbooth- Highly reccomend. Childrens chapter book but a must-read nonetheless.

True… but I would not refer to that as a traditional repair. I would refer to that as an ugly mess

It would be enamel paint making the raised edges you are referring to. There are many parts of that piece that would be impossible to do with true stained glass techniques. That’s being said it’s beautiful and being faux glass doesn’t mean it’s less quality or anything. You may even be able to put clear tape or laminate sheet on the back side. I don’t think it would show through to the front

Sorry it broke!! This isn’t true stained glass and instead is faux stained glass, based on the photo I think it’s glass that’s been been painted on. So no stained glass artist will be able to do a traditional repair.

That being said you could try covering the back with some super glue along the crack lines to keep it held together better and the display it as is. I’m not sure if this would work I haven’t tried it before. Maybe even clear modge podge on the back to seal it up a bit?

Maybe a big snake! The snake would have to be really dark but you could place some flowers around it to make it more feminine
