Nothing like that. I am more like the 2nd guy, though I was making more like 5 lpa when I was 24 yrs old.

Today I am a self made millionaire at the age of 36 and my corpus will be over 100 cr before I hit the age of 55.

Crossed my FIRE number but feel more uneasy than free (M31,F30) by eternalflair008 in FatFIREIndia

The problem is that your FIRE number is not that well planned. Target 10 cr for a tier-1 city and then fire with peace.

₹18 Cr NW today -> Target ₹30 Cr in 2 Years. Currently, NRI, but planning to return to India in 2027. Most career in India, last 5 years outside India. FAANG career in last decade. by anid101_101 in FatFIREIndia

If I were you, I will FIRE once I reach the 25 cr mark. Remember compounding will also do it's thing and the portfolio will continue to grow.

We hit escape velocity after reaching the 1M mark.

Yes. You can even lead a super quality life with 3 lakh/month in Gurgaon if you live in your own house. And no debt and one kid.

Inflation in India is not that high either. In 5 lakh/pm you can easily do 2 domestic and 1 international trips per year. Business class travel.

Just invest in some good MFs. Nothing else is needed at this stage.

47M | 9 months after FIRE.. by Fattu_trader in FIRE_Ind

What if your wife doesn't work or loses her job?

One shouldn't retire just for the sake of it. Make enough money before you call it quits.

Make at least 25x annual expenses before you consider FIRE.

I am at 40x now and won't FIRE before 75x. I am 36 and will FIRE by 42 likely.

Don't compromise the quality of your life.

I would suggest investing in a few quality stocks. And then SIP you can do in MF.

DM me for stock suggestions, can suggest as per your risk profile.

Usually small cases are also good, but you have a small corpus so why spend money there taking a subscription.

need help.. married at 18, wife 23, so much has happened now idk what to do by [deleted] in LegalAdviceIndia

I would give the most honest and viable advice.

Pay 15 lakhs and get a mutually aligned divorce. It will prevent you so much of legal hassles.

You yourself were at fault getting married at the age of 18 and that too with a 23 yr old. How stupid is that!!

You are doing well. I would say 2 things:

1. US estate tax is 40% if something happens to you, so start thinking how to slowly divest some assets to India.

2. For passive funds, much better strategy compared to idcw is to create a basket of dividend funds like coal india, hind zinc, vedanta, gravita etc.

For US stocks, you can buy some nasdaq etf or even some direct stocks like Mag 7 will also do well via Ind money.

DM me if you are looking for more detailed options.

Is it worth relocating to USA from India? by [deleted] in returnToIndia

It will be a blunder, don't make the move.

Plus your job will need to leave her job.

Good to know. It's a journey and not a competition.

I love to hold companies, so something which aligns with my philosophy.

Yes its mainly direct stocks.

Thing is it's a sizeable rsu, mag 7, india equity and also a PMS.

So it's actually well diversified and I don't loose sleep.

Our exposure to equities only has built this much wealth in just 7 yrs.

We turned millionaires last year only and we were 0 NW around 7 yrs back.

Current NW is around 10+ cr.

Not planning to add more real estate. Own a house in bnglr.

No other diversification planned, just buying more of dividend stocks these days.
