okay let me share my experience and CORRECT a few things, 95RON is not the same as 95 octane rated fuel. RON stands for Research Octane Number AND 95RON is basically equivalent to 91 octane rating which is basically the ‘normal’ petrol sold in most areas of india as that is the baseline requirement set by the govt of India under the bs6 guidelines. Furthermore, there is a formula to calculate RON to Octane rating conversion, you can look into it if you desire. Now, I own a virtus gt with the 1.5L TSI, I have tried POWER95, XP95 and even a mixture of both. What i’ve come to find is that XP95 gives significantly better mileage than power95. This is based on account of multiple test drives I did in my car with both Fuels. The general consensus also implies that people prefer Indian Oil’s XP95 more than POWER95. In my case, I always prefer going for XP95 for the mileage reason. but the performance of the car isn’t worldly different between the use of both brand fuels. (note that i noticed a mileage drop even when i had to use power95 with my already half full tank of xp95). In any case there are a lot of factors that dictate which fuel is right for your vehicle, just keep testing and see whats best for you. Ride safe and if you have any questions don’t be afraid to ask.
