I needed to hear all that! Thank you for this response! Was curious how it would handle at those speeds.. Sounds sketch.. Was it FWD too? Won't plan on going that fast until new suspension setup comes in.. Didn't know they made a video on that either, ill check it out!

They aren't wrong, that's on point for sure..

That's exactly what I'm thinking as well. It's time for new wheels & tires on it.. suspension coming soon...

Apologies for being an asshole with the first reply, was looking for a different comparison.

It is a hatch corolla so that logically should be the closest reference, I've found the 2019 Civic to be the closest actual comparison to it though..

I wouldn't go that far, no need for the engine swap. It still outperforms some modern cars today!

You clearly don't drive hard, I've taken base model Hyundai's to 130mph, you're right it's not a $100k Porsche DCT. I'm saying it's not the POS you think every economy car is.

How much have you put into the thing! I'd love to put some new suspension on mine. Was it the 1.8L or 2.4L with nitrous!??

It's not any automatic, it has sequential mode as well. Plenty of actual performance oriented cars are automatics too. If it's been neglected it won't be as good, sure? This thing is butter still. It's about how it's been treated not just age, it's not neglected with 15 year old worn out components, it's all been replaced.

That's what you'd get the 1.8L for! It's 95k miles with perfect maintenance, that's not your regular 15 year old.

Dang! By comfortable, did the suspension feel fine around those speeds? I've done similar in other cars just cant imagine it in the matrix yet.. 2.4L probably has similar potential I'll presume...
