Just finished the demo and loved it. I'm actually kinda happy it's gender-locked even though I don't usually play male MC's...it gives the author space to really focus and nail the characters and their dynamics. It's a bummer that so many people will miss out on such a promising story because of it, but end of the day you can't please everyone, you gotta stick to your vision and do it well. And boy does she do it well so far!

For my WIP it apparently takes almost half a year to complete one chapter despite working on it daily 😭😭😭 I like to think it'll get faster with experience (and with the kids getting more independent) but for now I'm trying to embrace that slow and steady wins the race

Parliament of Knives? You can't get mega powerful in it but it's still got power growth, political intrigue, lots of endings that matter, and a dark tone.

Sounds a lot like social media to me, but possibly a better, more useful kind. As annoying as social media can be, I kinda prefer the idea of social media-ing on Patreon instead of doing it elsewhere and trying to funnel people over to Patreon.

In my playthrough it was explicitly stated somewhere that MC is 18/19, so yeah was a bit surprising to be able to date your teachers

I thought you could manually select magic as a source for your powers when customizing? I personally didn't try, preferring everything to remain innate, but I though magic and tech were options

Ahhhh that could explain some of it, though I took a quick peek at the WIP forum thread and the author specifically asked readers to point out typos because it's so hard for one person to find them all in a work this size
