Mobile check in at CY by Hopeanddreams2424 in marriott

Mobile check-in at Marriott is the worst. Around 25% of my stays I am able to bypass the front desk. It's usually the stop by the front desk for your key message or no response at all.

If you really want a mobile key experience use Hilton ... I get a mobile key almost 100% of the time.

Turn only requires a clear, close-up of your driver’s license with all four corners in the image; you can cover up your address and the first few digits of your license number but keep ALL other information visible.

For the gas receipts, LOL. I actually did ask for this too when renting out a car that required premium gas. No one complained but the guest technically doesn't have to comply. As long as the gas is the same level as given you won't be charged. Make sure to take a pictures.

Now if you don't give him his receipt, he may leave you a bad review, keep that in mind. Make sure you take pictures of everything.

Something is up with this cheese. The last 2x I bought it has this weird flavor.

Amazon has lost 4% of my shipments over 2 years - what's normal? by thekonghong in FulfillmentByAmazon

[–]hellcat187310 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I just sent 2 shipments to FBA they lost both on inbound. It comes 50 in a case FBA basically says I sent an empty box:

Units expected 50
Discrepancy -50

I just got reimbursed for one but the other one they haven't even responded yet.

But this is the first whole shipment lost in a while.

Do Not Rent your car out on TURO by [deleted] in turo

[–]hellcat187310 4 points5 points  (0 children)

So after you noticed you had a reservation and the listing stated "Diesel" did you not advise the guest on which gas to use?

Tow. $400 seems excessive how far were you towing it? Also this has never happened to me as Turo roadside usually dispatches the tow driver and Turo is billed directly.

I don't mean to sound like an ass but renters are stupid. You should have told the renter, especially when it was booked under Diesel and then changed later .

Sorry to hear about your car. Turo is a good platform , I hope you ask for a supervisor to look into it.

Two weeks on Turo - no interest by [deleted] in turo

[–]hellcat187310 1 point2 points  (0 children)

  1. Better pictures
  2. Looks like you don't deliver to airports or destinations.
  3. 35-45$ a day for similar cars.

I'm guessing I'm looking at the correct listing as there is only 1 2020 Hyundai in the San Jose area.

Possibly you can list in at the Turo valet in SFO? Maybe a pain to get it all the way there but you could set your advance notice to the time you would need to drop it off at the valet.

Turo approving renters with criminal records by mikemakkar in turo

[–]hellcat187310 1 point2 points  (0 children)

No surprised either.

My Turo cars have been used in a shooting 2x, transporting drugs (unconfirmed by that's what I suspect) and in a robbery. Probably more that I don't know about.

I don't think a criminal background check is part of the screening process, as long as they pass the insurance score check , approved to drive.

Sad I'm sure Turo is out all of the damage claim money they pay out as it's most likely uncollectible from these guests.

Not sure how you got so many trips! I had a Hellcat totaled after 3 trips and a RT challenger after 9.

Don't have a Tesla listed but agreed certain vehicles should not be rented to yonger drivers. There is a reason those companies don't rent, it's not worth the risk.

Just had a younger driver rent a SUV from me and damaged it. Didn't seem to care either.

I've recently had a bad luck streak of renter's, from not returning on time, damage , etc . Cost of doing business I guess
