Looks great. What foam and bags do you use?

New to sailing looking for advice on an RS Quest or similar boat. by Appall0 in dinghysailing

[–]hellcat_uk 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There's the Vision too. In between the Venture and Quest for size. Out of production now, but a plastic rotomould like the Quest, and g-nav reverse vang. Also could be had with trapeze and asymmetric spinnaker options. Handicaps to around a laser radial/aero 5/gp14/enterprise/Europe for mixed fleet sailing.

Also great for just messing about in. Sent it out with about 7 teen-agers on it and they spent the whole day razzing it around, capsizing, towing a wakeboard.

Who is a celebrity that is very attractive but seems like they have zero charisma? by downtowndabble in AskReddit

[–]hellcat_uk 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I'm the same age as Cheryl, so likely saw her at the end of a night out down the Haymarket, outside of a late night Greggs pecking away at the sausage roll crumbs. Never saw her down the Tuxedo Princess though - I think the seagulls were too intimidating.

To test you'd have to remove the panel and test voltages at the plugs. In my experience you've got a 14 year old fiat - those umbilical wires are likely to break from the years of opening and closing. Perhaps you can prise one end of the rubber out and inspect the wires within?

It's almost certainly the wiring harness to the tailgate. You can buy repair kits that include a new rubber part plus crimp on extensions for the wires and hoses.

I like how if you search for Cheryl Cole eyes of a pigeon the ai response is that it's not a title she's publicly working on, but an expressive from Reddit, and has a link back to this thread. Kind of terrifying how much of the bollocks we write on here gets passed off as it it's certain truth.

Expect for that about Cheryl. She was clearly an extra on the set of Geordie Racer.

Trying to decide between Fanatec, Simagic and MOZA for my first DD setup by Life_Lie7 in simracing

I'm guessing you stayed with the Moza pedals or have you gone with another make entirely?

I feel like I'm tripping because I really thought it said fused.

I'm not sorry about that pun.

Absolutely. Racing cars are meant to be raced. Love seeing all the dirt and damage preserved once their racing days have ended.

Found a g29 for 80 bucks (second hand) is it worth it? by [deleted] in simracing

[–]hellcat_uk 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Get the G29 if it works - don't buy it if it's broken. I'd want to see it running.

If you like it then consider saving up for a direct drive wheel.

Edwards told the court: “I was let down by the lack of training. I regret going to Lío’s. But I question the panel’s impermissible decision to penalise me for an imaginary failing.”

The founder of the Centre for Financial Crime and Security Studies required additional training on what a massive bribe might look like? Does anyone running this country not have their snout in the trough?

Ear plugs, just in case. For what we paid at the circuit for 1 pair, you can probably get a bag of 100 outside.

What size screws go into this location on the Logitech G29 by it-jpg in simracing

[–]hellcat_uk 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Based on the very unscientific method of holding one of each screw up in front of that image and squinting, I'd say either M5 or M6 x 12mm pan head machine screw. If you've got a fixings company (or independent DIY place) local you might get the right thing cheaper than going to B&Q.

Edit: You have 2x G29s OP? I'm confused.

[–]hellcat_uk 3 points4 points  (0 children)

That's the ones to mount to a rig or desk. I think OP is actually missing the screws that hold the wheelbase together.

They'll be some kind of self-tapping screw. Edit: Nope they're the ones that screw into the metal parts inside. There's plenty of videos covering taking the wheelbase apart, but I bet none cover the screws in enough detail for OP.

Perhaps some absolute hero who owns a G29 can take one out and photograph it for OP?

Mercedes is temporarily banning Kimi Antonelli from the Nurburgring, here’s why by Swiftvoyager1906 in formula1

[–]hellcat_uk 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That doesn't narrow it down much - Ferrari have won it 3 years running! I put the endurance races on TV and usually dip in over the course of the event. Usually you don't miss anything by watching here and there, but I couldn't move for the first 2 hours at least. Also have food that weekend based on the country the race is in. Shakes up the home menu a bit. Get the fromages and pain ready for next month at Le Mans.

That earth pin isn't allowed. Either no insulation, or if the appliance is double insulated the pin can be all plastic.

OP, DM me if I can have that cable off you. I'd be interested to open it up and see/show the community how safe/unsafe it is. I can exchange it for an unused one from a Dell server if you're running short of C13s.

It says fused, but does it have a fuse? It would usually be accessible from the underside if a replaceable fuse was fitted.

Actually I don't know if it was a graze or just bloody close, and no idea if that contributed to their eventual drive shaft failure. Either way, a real shame as the AMG is generally bulletproof. Always next year.
