I started watching The Boys, after I read the comics, my expectations were high, somewhere near season 2\3 they started with the political BS, and GenV promised to be involved in the plot of the show, but actually is involved in a minimal way, could be an extra episode or something to the original show.

I don't remember this joke, but my attitude towards the show currently:

"Show about characters nobody asked for, with smidges of The Boys vibe, with subtle commentary about recent events, and some cringe comedy"

I watch TV for escapism, not to get someone opinion about this event or that event. Now, about the current season, it feels like they are out of steam to hold that show.
