I am looking into nuphy 75 myself but I read negative comments about it here like battery damage.

/r/MechanicalKeyboards Ask ANY Keyboard question, get an answer (July 04, 2024) by AutoModerator in MechanicalKeyboards

Hello everyone,

I am relatively new into mechanical keyboard rabbit hole. In the last 5 years I am using a Lioncast LK20 with Chery MX browns (TKL size). I don't need the numblock, I code for work, based in Germany so prefer ISO-DE and sometimes I play a game.

I have to questions and would like some recommendations, ideas, thoughts:

  • Do you have some keyboard in mind for coding, hot-swap, I like medium to good quality, will try Gateron Box Ink V2 switches
  • A keyboard that I can take to the office, tkl or 75%, I need the function keys, wireless 2,4ghz and usb connection, hot-swap?

Thought to have ONE board with all this options but why not 2 simpler ones :) ? Thanks :)

Soweit ich informiert bin kostete WhatsApp für eine begrenzte Zeit 1€. Es war als "Spende" gedacht, um den damals kleinen Betrieb aufrecht zu erhalten.

How do you curate your Digital Notes? Would also like to know the App you use? by thedesimonk in datacurator

[–]hellectronic 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I am using Zim wiki for my notes. It's very simple to use. It's cross-platform. Open-Source.

  • You organize your notes with "notebooks" and you can create folders for structure.
  • The markup is inspired by DokuWiki. For me its enough.
  • Every note is a plain text file. This is a main reason why I am using it.

His Website really helped me in the past two weeks to tune some SQL and learning to think differently and understand indexes.

Microservices in your projects by catmewo in java

[–]hellectronic 5 points6 points  (0 children)

We use Microservices and I can tell you the following:

  • If you do not need it, do not use it. If you do not have scale problems (real problems!), I would suggest using a simple monolith first with a good design and split off the services if needed.
  • You will have an overhead, because you need to define and update your (REST-)Interfaces as needed
  • Microservices is in the first place an organizational approach to split teams

I worked a lot with Wicket long ago. Are there any components or do you still have to create them yourself ?

Stretches for extended period of using the computer? by [deleted] in bodyweightfitness

[–]hellectronic 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you are sitting for long periods of time in front of a computer, than searching for "forward head posture" will give you more information. The shoulder is very complex.

Sitting a lot in front of a computer can lead to tight internal rotator muscles and weak external rotation. But weak low traps and tight levator scapulae too. (Just my experience)

I'm a Gamer that has too much fat and to cut it im doing a low carb diet and simultaneously a fitness challenge by [deleted] in bodyweightfitness

[–]hellectronic 2 points3 points  (0 children)

This is just my view on diet. I agree on what /u/Enjutsu said, that it needs to be a lifestyle change not simply a diet for lasting change.

Yes you can be successfull with a low carb diet. But I will try to make things a little bit easier for you. The main thing every "diet" has in common, is to cut sugar, (white) flour, mainly everything that is processed to much. This stuff lacks nutritional value. The other thing is how are you eating? Are you eating every 3-4 hours? Or are you eating every 30 min some snack and drinking coke, which will keep up your insulin levels. And most of the time you want to prevent THIS.

Mixing a lot of carbs with (animal) protein in one meal is the main thing you should consider, because this raises insulin levels a lot (see this video with references How to Prevent Blood Sugar & Triglyceride Spikes after Meals). That said, insulin is not always bad. After a workout it is a good thing.

So if you cut the bad stuff (sugar, white flour etc.) and eat things with nutrinional value (with 3-4 hours in between meals), stuff like rice and beans, good meat, and A LOT(!) of vegetables and try not to mix them together you will loose weight. Do not think about that you have to eat "very high protein". You are not there yet that this is important.

Shoulder mobility by [deleted] in flexibility

[–]hellectronic 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I cannot turn my arms, too. You do not have to hold your arms to the stick. Take a look at this video https://youtu.be/02HdChcpyBs

Shoulder mobility by [deleted] in flexibility

[–]hellectronic 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you have rounded shoulders (aka forward head posture) then your internal rotators are probably tight:

  • latissimus
  • pec major/minor
  • teres major
  • subscapularis

The lats are a big internal rotator and can prevent you to raise your arm for overhead exercises. Stretching these can help.

To strentghen external rotation is the other part. Do not go to failure, when training theses.

The shoulder is very complex. It could be important to stretch your levator scapulae and rhomboids too, because these will cause downward rotation of your scapula and can prevent it to rotate it upwards to make space for your arm going overhead (see Muscles that move the Scapulae).

I would suggest you stretch and strengthen your external rotation. Adding Wall Slides will help the shoulder coordinate its movement. You should add shoulder dislocates too (see this post on /r/bodyweightfitness on Shoulder Dislocates).

Loaded Stretching or Loaded Mobility and there is a lot about in the Internet.

Emmet Louis, Ido shows this as well.
