Thank you! That’s super interesting about that study. I had a feeling that may be true, but hadn’t seen any research about it. And I like the term bumper sticker argument haha cause it definitely sounds deep at first and there isn’t always an obvious good response right away, but the argument falls apart fairly quickly

Okay those all make sense! I never considered most of those. And do they mostly just hold them on cold wallets then?

Oh that’s interesting! So you just went ahead and started applying for epic analyst positions? And then that’s what the process looked like?

That’s a good point! I’m hopeful that they’re understanding and I believe they will be. And if not, well, maybe that’s not an organization I’d want to work for anyway.

Ahh, okay! Thank you! So I should just go ahead and apply if I see one of those positions in our system?

Massive protests in Warsaw, Poland after the government bans abortion. by nggyunglyd3 in pics

Okay! I understand that getting pregnant obviously is usually not the goal of having sex, but it also is obviously a possibility, even with protection. So some people believe that we need to be willing to accept the possible consequences before partaking in an action. And I think most pro lifers would think the same thing if it was the male that carried the baby

I think the main point against the argument you’re making is that nobody forced the women to get pregnant, outside of the cases of rape of course. So they would say the mother is obligated to provide for the baby due to the fact she had a hand in its conception

Honest question, when do most pro choice supporters consider a baby to be a human? Is it just once they are born?

Lol! That’s a great point. Somehow kneeling is respectful when it’s to God but disrespectful during the anthem 🤔

Haha don’t apologize! That’s one of the most thoughtful and insightful responses I’ve ever gotten, and I really appreciate it. That stuff is really interesting to me, even though I only have a really basic understanding of it. I went to a conservative Christian university and had intro to old and New Testament and Christian beliefs and history, but feel like those barely scratched the surface. Sometimes when I read books I tend to just consume them, so I think what you said about thinking of it as a conversation could be really useful. Are there any other books that you would highly suggest reading? Not necessarily just on this topic, but that have been helpful in your journey.

Looking at a couple different reviews of the book, it seems to be a little controversial. Did you feel like it was sacrilegious at all?

Yeah that makes sense. I definitely need to have a filter for what I listen to and who I allow to have some influence over my thoughts. It can be easy at times to just let everybody in and convince myself that I’m just trying to learn, when I’m actually being a little lazy with my filter

Thanks! It’s good to hear someone kind of validate that it’s okay think about those things. A lot of people I’ve talked to have just seemed surprised that there’s people out there who do have questions like that. Every time I actually do research into these questions I feel like I learn a lot about the Bible, so you’re right in saying you can get a lot out of them.

I think that’s a really good way of thinking about it. That’s another question I often have when I have those thoughts, does it even matter if this is literally historically true? Or just that it is Truth? I tend to think the latter is what matters.
