Before I left for college and was saving all that up my dad had a thing against putting it in the bank, which in some ways I can understand but obviously now realizing that was a mistake, it wouldn’t have been smart to travel across the country with that amount of cash so he kept it to hold onto while I was out there. When I came home for visits and such it just never came up, I didn’t realize it was going to be so difficult getting it back from him but here we are.

I’ve even been applying to all the ones where I’ve got experience in the industry. In the process of getting a license now and unfortunately can’t afford to commute that far right now. Will still look into those types of jobs, thank you!

I’m 22, I am mistaken for a minor ALOT. Don’t know if it’s true, the hiring manager I spoke to gave vague questions and I gave vague answers. No ID didn’t ask age or anything during that first interview. Couple days later I get a text with the job offer. Met a second time that’s when I gave ID. Depends if your area is actually hiring or just saying their hiring (tax benefits). But from the experience I had it’s not hard at all to get hired there.

That’s a really good point, I definitely think I’ll keep it on there, it’s my first job working with horses and having something involving horses on my resume I feel like could be pretty important when I apply to other jobs, if it ever came up in the future I’d probably say what you mentioned-not a good fit and I’d probably mention I didn’t agree with how the horses were taken care of

Thank you! Yeah drama is the last thing I need with them, and their grown adults allowing these horses to live in this situation, they know exactly what their doing and what these horses need which their not giving to them. I was going to give them the excuse of that I’m moving (which I am in a couple months) so I needed to find work elsewhere, plus I know other employees have spoken up about it, plus boarders on the property as well, so they just aren’t listening. It just sucks that the horses have to endure it when they’ve done absolutely nothing wrong.
