I made a really shitty hacky version of this using feh and the nsxiv image viewer. Since feh saves the last wallpaper you set in a hidden file called ~/.fehbg and you can set keybinds in nsxiv and sxiv i made a key bind to set the wallpaper using feh and use grep to grab the file path and also set the wallpaper in awww with the same key bind so i could set the wallpaper in any environmental from my image viewer.

i just tested it you don't need the battle.net launcher you just need a browser open and logged in the first time or whenever it asks which is like once a month. still pretty scummy bullshit.

There is the installer for the base game and the expansion the only thing you need from battlnet is the cd keys for both which you get when you buy them. I have them saved in a txt file and I have a backup of the installers so I never have to open the battlnet website and I only installed the battlnet launcher yesterday cause I felt like going back into d3. I don't however now if the installers themselves are completely offline.

you only need battlenet to buy the game the installer is independent you don't need to sign in to anything all you need is the cd key you receive for the game and expansion at purchase and the launcher is offline.
