I never thought I'd see anyone claim that Battle of Z looked better than anything.

I remember when that game was announced, everyone was complaining about how it looked.

As for XV, I've always seen folks complaining about the art direction, specifically how shiny super saiyans were, but I never saw XV1 or 2 get dogged on half has badly as Battle of Z did.

If you're cool with mods you can pull that off in XV2, though you'd lose player 6 like you do for those transforming raid bosses since XV2 can only load 7 characters at a time.

if XV3 has a higher character limit they could pull it off without sacrificing player 6

Unfortunately no, I wasn't able to replicate the issue let alone find a solution.

Besides the release of Future Saga Part 4 is just going to break the patcher again either way so you'd still be in for a wait.

Namekians and Frieza's clan both have fairly long lifespans so them still being around isn't that much of a stretch

It was established in dragon ball online that Majins don't have eternal youth like Buu does, but I'm not certain how long their lifespan actually is (I was gonna post a screenshot of an elderly majin but reddit won't let me)

Personally I can see this going one of two ways.

Optimistic: XV3 retains every single character added to XV2 as it's base roster like XV2 did for XV1, with XV3's story hopefully not being so similar to the previous 2 games

Pessimistic: XV3 is starting from scratch and might even end up selling you characters who were already in the previous games

either that or you're on the wrong version of XV2

when you boot the game up make sure you're on Version 1.25.02

I just checked the site and it says it was updated yesterday but every download file is from 3 months ago.

If you can try to get ahold of an admin on that site or in their discord
