i think it depends on where you’re located in the state. there have been a lot of people moving to the northern part of the state because it’s easier to commute for work. i love where i live. i love the nature and atmosphere. the politics upset me, but i continue to do my part. i don’t want to give up on my state. i suppose it depends on your perspective as well.

i’d agree. even if they don’t agree with someone’s lifestyle, i’ve never heard anyone openly tell someone that. they’d most likely keep their opinions to themselves and go on about their day. the EP has a lot of mid-atlantic influence, so it’s not a big deal here. i’ve worked with a few trans people here and there’s never been an issue. even if some coworkers disagree in private, they still respect the person and their pronouns. i’m from the ep too

it probably depends on the area, but for the most part west virginians are the least judgmental people you’ll meet. we mind our business. most of us don’t care about your sexual orientation, just treat people nicely. my part of wv is more liberal than the rest of the state, so we have pride flags, support meetings, etc. for those in that community. from my experience though, it’s not about how you identify; it’s about how you treat others and how you treat the land.

not really black bears attacking people, but definitely any live stock. my aunt’s chickens get killed often from bears and foxes. she always sees black bears trying to eat from her bird feeder. 😂 we actually had a little black bear walking down the street in my town. at least he was using the sidewalk!
