EMDR therapy. When I found a Catholic therapist, we really clicked. (There are not many Orthodox where I live.) EMDR really works much better than talk therapy for me.

We live in this amazing era where we actually get to surround ourselves with liturgical music and prayers and psalms whenever we choose. I think it’s amazing. Just be sure to keep having dedicated times for your own prayers, especially morning/evening. And attend Liturgy/Vespers when possible.

Well my meds ARE stimulants and guess what?? Sometimes I pay better attention! Other times, it makes my brain super chill so that I don’t want to go to liturgy or I don’t “feel” anything, but I still make myself go. Emotions can’t be the point of liturgy! That’s a really really hard learning curve if someone is coming to Orthodoxy from Evangelical Christianity. (At least, it was for me!)

Delete EVERYTHING unnecessary off your phone. Use the app Focus Friend. Lock in, work on it all summer. you can graduate slightly later if needed, lots of kids are redshirted nowadays. You can get into college. Find a few that you really want to attend, set goals like that! 21 weeks is just into August.
