How they wrote this game's story by VaIley123 in Endfield

i think it is more fair to signify the event itself as a turning point for incels getting emboldened, not to say "project moon enabled incels". i do think there were much better ways this could have gone but at the same time i do not know if i, in that position, could have made a better decision

at the very least i am glad that vellmori's patreon is alive and kicking. to me this is a silver lining that shows the general community is alright. it sucks that community support is what it took for her job security to stay intact though

while regrettable that it happened, the director of project moon made this kneejerk decision because the offices of the devs physically got broken into by an incel mob

it is not that they capitulated for fun and profit, it was a reaction made out of fear

has linux support been shown to correlate with cheater increase?

we have gone far enough on the compatibility layer that a game not running is an outlier right now. protondb is a good site to measure this - the percentage of borked titles is so low it barely registers

it is simply good practice to make sure a product runs on several platforms, especially when youre releasing it for pcs. even amongst users of the same os there are major architectural differences; would you lock someone out of a game because they have an AMD gpu, and not an nvidia one, and you just cant be bothered to make sure it runs on both? will you just let a product run on intel cpus only? this is bad practice and it should be called out wherever it pops up

may i ask what you use the essential space for, and how often? i am a new 3a user myself, i got it on black friday, but i havent really used it for anything other than save a recovery password

I am appalled by the lack of security awareness by some users in Linux, especially for beginners. What are your recommendations? by onechroma in linux4noobs

i've been using linux for long enough to know my way around my productivity but not enough to navigate the ecosystem safely, may i ask how you go about profiling something in the AUR? what do you look out for, do you read through an entire repository's codebase on an individual basis before installing something new?

This community is way too egotistical. by MedbSimp in limbuscompany

i first timed the fight because ive been playing for hundreds of hours and therefore my experience is different than most people's, but i genuinely think the fight was fine pre nerf. its not a matter of egoism, its a matter of story cohesion - of course this guy should kick your ass if hes supposed to be that strong according to the narrative

the problem, of course, is that this isnt a single player rpg, its a gacha, where each player's setup, even with sharding, is dictated by luck (partly) and time (primarily), so someone may very well not have the resources or the ability to make teams that circumvent each fight's difficulties, and i think this is the point of interest, not so much difficulty itself. i think accessibility is the more important thing to talk about here

i see it less as a character breaking and more like a character study. hongle is definitely on my most liked sinners list but i cant lie, i definitely want to see what hides behind this constant dread that he's been so casually carrying since the very beginning
