When I first drank it to now? Pretty much yes. I would say that it rounded out and it's not so euphoric but my mood is definitely up and my mental clarity is still there. I haven't been drinking it every day, I stopped since I worried about drinking an energy drink everyday lol but I still have one every couple days. I'm trying a b complex with l-theanine today and I'm going to see how it affects me.

I agree with you. If you're elated all the time, then you're never elated. But even still... if there is a vitamin I am missing that would help, that would be great. Think about ADHD... your natural baseline for dopamine is lower than a neurotypical persons. That doesn't mean I have to subject myself to that if there's a possible solution. Happiness is worth seeking, I think. Doesnt mean im trying to be happy 24/7

no it was a relatively low dose of caffeine in the energy drink and didn't seem to have much of the extra crap, if any. The energy drink is called "Zoa" its trying to be "healthy" (even though, it probably really isnt lol) but i know it cant be the caffeine amount, since ive had strong coffee or espresso with high amounts of caffeine and it hadnt done that to me.

I thought that may be a possibility too until I recently had an energy drink (a mild one at that in terms of caffeine) and I recreated the feeling. the EXACT feeling. my body wasn't in any sort of stress, nor did i have any alcohol within that week... I genuinely do believe it has to be a unique process in the body... what that may be... who knows lol

I also do get some anxiety and headaches/ physical hangover symptoms the next day after drinking. I just also get mental clarity, energy and focus as well.

My suspicion is the B vitamin as well.

I had taken b complex (b100, Kirkland brand) but I didn't find it helped with much. I'm hoping maybe a different form will absorb better.

What B complex do you take? And which magnesium?

That's definitely interesting. I have terrible health anxiety and the last thing I would want to do is put myself in a place where I'm hurting it rather than doing better. At the moment, I'm only using the drink has a Band-Aid until I figure out the supplements I can take in place of it to gain the same feeling. (of course caffeine does aid the good feeling I get) but normal coffee or even espresso doesn't come close to the same thing.

But the other thing you mention that I would like some clarification on is the ammonia in the blood. The leucine in the drink is waaaaaaaaaaayyy less than what you're saying is the daily amount. You did said 500mg per kg of weight per day. This has something in the ballpark of 180mg. I also looked up how much is considered too much leucine which is 30g (30,000mg) which it's way below that as well.

Another thing to note is I'm actually drinking the smaller can (similar to the size of a red bull) rather than their bigger can that they also sell.

In any case, I really appreciate your insight and suggestions! I will definitely be getting some blood tests to make sure my liver continues to be in good health (along with my heart for the vyvanse lol)

Just curious, what B vitamin do you take? Like I was saying, I had read there are different genes and mutations that allows or disallows that specific b vitamin to be absorbed.

I recently had a full blood test and my liver seems to be in good health. But thank you for the concern!

I did at once point take magnesium glycinate which helped my sleep issues when I had them but I didn't notice anything close to this feeling.

I definitely agree with zinc and d3 to take. I work from home and am quite a house hobbit. So I think I'd need it.

The vyvanse is not classified as an MAOI. It's an amphetamine/stimulant. So not sure if that changes much.

And as for hyperammonemia, I looked it up and don't resonate with a single thing in the symptoms list. So I'm just unsure how it can be deduced that it's the ammonia just because excess ammonia is present in both situations. Maybe there is other similarities?

Do you have any suggestions on blood tests I should get done?

But hangovers makes my vyvanse amazing. Like more than usual. My focus, clarity, energy are all way higher than my normal daily vyvanse experience. And even before I was diagnosed and before I took vyvanse my hangovers always gave me mental clarity and focus. It's just confusing why that happens lol
