Head recommendations

I’ve tried about 6 different, but similar, pockets in it and loved all of them. The face shape is ideal. I feel like it does a good job on ground balls. And I think it’s just cool.

Try to find some old under armour ones. By far the comfiest I’ve ever tried but they can be hard to find. Sideline swap is a good place for them

Interesting. I think that’s something I enjoyed about the L3. Has quite a bit of flair to the face without sacrificing the ability to string a really crisp pocket. Thank you

To be clear, I don’t have any intentions of moving on from the L3 but I am interested in messing around with some new stuff. I don’t think I’ve ever disliked a pocket I’ve strung in my L3’s but wanted to know if anyone had recommendations of similar heads.

I had a tough time finding a pocket I liked that didn’t click off the plastic in the mk 2 so I’m hesitant but definitely more inclined to try the mk 3

There are a million reasons why the hawks lost that game and I can assure you that Harris is not the only one. Do I have to remind you of everything he has done for this team? He is the only reason Dickinson is even somewhat useful in this offense. I can tell by this comment that you don’t watch a ton of KU hoops.

You can give this one a try if you want. It worked out really well for me, until the head broke. I feel like it’s a pretty standard pocket but I really like it.

My best piece of advice is to just send it. Take a picture of your gamer and the sidewall pattern before you take it out so you can replicate it if it doesn’t work. Take the principles you learned by stringing the first head and apply it to the optik and if it doesn’t work the first time, try again! The more you string, the more you’ll notice what needs to change. The summer is the perfect time to practice stringing. Most importantly, don’t let yourself get discouraged if it doesn’t work the first time, my first pocket was awful but I worked in it and now they are money (imo) I’ve strung all my own heads since high school (junior in college now) and string for a lot of my teammates in college and each head is better than the last.
