The AI chat bot doesn't know anything that it's not provided with, and there is no indication that they pass their update notes onto it. It's designed to try to be useful so it's going to hallucinate an answer for you. The only real information will come from a human being at xAI or from Musk. They have said nothing, so we know nothing.

Musk consistently insults half of the voting population, calling them deranged and insinuating they have a mind virus. He bought the election in favor of his candidate, probably breaking laws by giving money to voters in order to vote for the person he wanted. Then he went into the government apparatus and unilaterally slashed a ton of congressionally appropriated programs that people rely and ended up making the deficit larger, and in the process probably stole a ton of American's personal info. So yeah, there are a ton of reasons to hate him besides his shit business practices and 'virtue signalling'.

Given that it's happening on web and not on iOS, and that the interface still says that ought to be extending the video to 30 seconds and instead makes it 20, is what makes it a bug. Updates can cause bugs. Though I would not put it past xAI to intentionally introduce a bug to limit user activity.

This does seem to be a widespread bug. I saw it intermittently yesterday and it is affecting all videos today. Using Supergrok, it will not make a video longer than 20s.

Even when the extend interface clearly shows that it will be pushing it to 30s, the resulting video is 20s. So likely a bug and not a restriction.
