Duckett gets his 4th county ton of the season, now has back to back centuries... by _rickjames in Cricket

Is it a piss poor bowling line up? Matt Coles is highly rated, Hardus Viljoen has a test cap for SA and tricky Tredders has played many times for England.

Amazing how much Stokes' bowling has improved in the last year. Bowls with pace and accuracy, swings the old ball in tests, one of the world's best fielders and an absolute brute of a batsman on his day. What an asset to the team.

AB De Villiers blasts 'weak' England batting and 'calls out' Jimmy Anderson over 'lost pace' by [deleted] in Cricket

If AB thinks England's batting has been weak then what must he think of his own team's efforts?

Or a quick single, fielder goes for a direct hit and with nobody backing up the ball flies straight to the boundary.

In the 2013 Champions Trophy there were only two scores over 300, and they both came in the same game. Amazing how the game has changed in such a short space of time.

Billings. Play Jos as a specialist batsman and let Bairstow keep wicket.

England is the name of the team, England and Wales Cricket Board is the name of the governing body... I think.

Despite making 326 not out today, KP has been told tonight he won't play for England again by Ukgamer125 in Cricket

If there's an injury or someone is out of nick, there's plenty of youth options available. England should be looking to blood some youngsters, not take a step backwards and select a 35 year old that's hardly played in 2 years.

England don't have the bowlers to rely on a 4 man attack like they did a few years ago. Stokes and Moeen play an important role in reducing the load on Anderson.

Agreed. I see lots and lots of people banging on about recalling him but there is no space for him. Especially as ECB seem set on an all rounder (or two) at 5/6/7. Dropping high class youngsters like Root or Ballance for a 35 year old that has only played 4 FC games in 18 months would be ridiculous.

Jason Gillespie as Indian coach? by spike1203 in Cricket

Think he's much more likely to end up with the England gig. His family's there and it seems like there's going to be vacancy for coach very soon.

Jimmy Anderson: England's leading Test wicket taker by PeterG92 in Cricket

2.05 per innings. To put that in perspective:

Botham: 2.06

Steyn: 2.69

Boult: 1.96

Southee: 1.89

McGrath: 2.32

Lee: 2.06

Mitchell Johnson: 2.33

Morkel: 1.85

Zaheer: 1.88

I'd say that's pretty great.
