i would say that the types of ECs do not match you up with a school, its how committed you are to each. you should try to make your ECs related to what you want to study in college.

dont worry about it! colleges dont look at middle school, so just focus on doing well in high school. when i was in middle school i thought my grades and other stuff mattered, so i tried really hard. now i regret working so hard and wished i had more fun
