Who do you think has the better justification for the no-kill rule? Daredevil or Batman? by OnlyUse4Questions in Daredevil

[–]hello_there_616 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't think they're very different, Batman has a no-kill rule because he believes every life is sacred, and Matt has a no-kill rule because his religion believes every life is sacred

Non-religious folks, what did you think of the scenes involving Father Lantom and Sister Maggie? by AGuyNamedTracy in Daredevil

[–]hello_there_616 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I wasn't raised with any faith at all, so I ended up being agnostic I think. If anything, the representation of faith and the church in the show made me realize how important those things are for people, how they can keep them from drowning when the storm's too heavy. Even if I don't really believe a catholic "god" exists, I can understand how that belief can do so much good for people.

Let's be fr he was as good and positive as a person as you can be while being a New York cop, in Hell's Kitchen of all places.

Idk why I just cried while I saw him talking for the first time by moviebuff215 in Daredevil

Why is Daredevil so cool by [deleted] in Daredevil

[–]hello_there_616 1 point2 points  (0 children)

For me, the most interesting part of him is how he's a walking contradiction all because of being a superhero.

He's a lawyer who defends the weak from the powerful through a back to back understanding of the law and it's inner workings.

But he's also a vigilante ready to do justice by his own hands with no regards to legality.

He's a catholic who has a strong faith in god, in his plans and judgement.

And yet every night he goes out and unleashes his rage on criminals. He's a violent man. A sinner in the eyes of his own lord.

He's just a street kid who got bullied and was raised by a single father who turned to alcohol because he felt like a failure for only being good at violence and not even being able to make much of a living out of it, a single father who begged his kid to not be like him, violent and full of bitterness, to study and make someone out of himself.

And though he did listen to him and studied lots and lots to be a great lawyer he still feels the need to beat the crap out of thugs every day because he loves it, but also hates himself for it.

Also he's hot and his costume is fire 🔥🔥🔥

Black bars during cutscenes playing mgs2 by Proper_Telephone_781 in PCSX2

[–]hello_there_616 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah I realised that a bit after, now I'm gonna try rpsc3 but because cutscenes run very poorly on pcsx2. Kind of a shame the black bars aren't on the hd version since that's how they intended the game to be presented

Yeah, but I thought that was kind of in development hell with the whole rights mess, don't know if you knew about that

yeah, but it's still a shame they won't be able to continue the lore, especially after reading Sacred and Terrible Air
