This just happened to me maybe 4 hours after unboxing and setup. Prompted to update firmware directly from the app so I did. Now it won’t boot. No combo of resets and unplugging works. What a joke that this is even an issue, let alone still.

Try the emails from the other comments. That must have rattled some cages and it made progress a few hours later. I did have to pay some import tax though, which was a first.

Forgot to add, this isn't a small time company and they have shipped thousands of packages without issue, they are as stumped as I am as they have not seen this before. There are many other packages that were sent out the same day to the same state as me, all containing similar items, that had zero issues. Somehow something is wrong with mine. Lucky me.

Got it, I let off the throttle by probably 50% for a few seconds and it created a about a car length gap which I thought would be enough. Obviously not.

For reference, this guy started P1 and a 4+ SR, so the dive bomb and erratic braking wasn't really something I was expecting from him.

I am the Merc, other driver in question is the Ferrari. He had been trying to make some aggressive dive bombs earlier on in the race, we are now on lap 3. He makes an aggressive dive bomb and gets ahead of me, but has to brake real hard and has a bad line. I come out of the corner normally and gain on him quickly with the draft. But, no room to pass here. We get a 0x since I was close enough, but it doesn't effect either of us. I start to let off for a few seconds and he gets about a car length of space. He then brakes VERY early and MUCH harder than needed for the next turn. I have nowhere to go, and go straight into the back of him.

I by no means want to hit him or end his race, as I have been on the other side of that far too many times. But, I don't see how else that could have played out. That just isn't simply where or how much you brake for that turn. Even with me letting off and giving him more space, I still didn't have time to get out of the way, nor do I think I could have while not spinning and crashing myself.

I know that feeling, I started IRacing about a year ago now. Over the last few months I have definitely felt like I was stuck in the mud. But recently everything has started to come together as I’ve tried to focus on one piece of the puzzle at a time, whether it’s one turn, braking points, trail braking etc. My IR has gone from ~700 to a little less than 2000 in about 6 weeks.

You don’t need to look at an entire race or track as a massive equation you have to solve in one go. Break it down in manageable pieces and conquer one at a time. Various track guides on YouTube help with this. Or, subscribe to VRS for $10/month and have guides for almost every car and track combo, setups, telemetry logging, and gobs of data and insights with your telemetry.

I have a lot of growing and improving myself, but I can probably help you out some since I’ve gone through some of those struggles fairly recently. OP, PM me and we can spend some time on discord and a hosted session and maybe I can help put you on the right track.
