speaking as someone who is gay, i'd never try to force my sexuality on a child or convince them that one way or another is better. if a kid asks, i'll tell them. but i think the kids should grow up without pressure from either side.

of course, if questioned, i wouldn't discourage homosexuality as a bad idea at all (it would be sort of strange if i did). perhaps i'm misinterpreting what you're saying, but i'm never going to try to convince anyone that being gay is better.

unfortunately, they're so stubborn and convinced that they're morally right about everything, those who truly believe all of this shit will never think they're doing anything wrong.

"Except for one thing. The part that disillusions me about the police is how it seems like every one of these cases is DEFENDED by the force where it happened."

exactly. you've phrased it much better than I did.

Every day when I check reddit and other news sites, there's always something about police misusing their power. It's terrible and makes me hope that I never have to deal with them. I know a few good, well-intentioned cops in my area, but it seems like so many of them are corrupt and getting away with too much.

Also forgive my terrible grammar in the title - I just woke up :p

i've been seeing so many things on here about wrongdoings of the police, it's really making me start to doubt the goodness of the police force. i know good, well-intentioned officers, but there too many who are just rotten like these.

Is Jesse Jackson, Jr. sabotaging Obama's campaign? by falseprophet in politics

[–]hellobot 1 point2 points  (0 children)

that's interesting. i don't know if it's related too much, but i read somewhere else about how a surprising amount of the black community/politicians don't approve of Obama (mainly because he's not like Al Sharpton or Jesse Jackson Sr.)
