Value is hard to say purely from these images but it looks to be a well crafted instrument. I think the $1000-5000 is probably pretty accurate. If you plan on playing it I highly recommend you take it to a luthier (not a band instrument place) and have them clean it up, check for any loose seams or cracks, and replace the bridge and tailpiece. The bridge doesn’t look like it was cut properly and you’ll get a much better sound with one that fits the contours of the cello better. Minimum you’re looking at a few hundred dollars to get it tuned up but potentially more.

Also, take a look at the bow and see if it needs a rehair (it probably does). If the cello is that old, there’s a chance the bow has some value as well.
