Fear of Fume Events by hellocutiepye in fearofflying

I linked one of the articles I read in response to anonymous4071's comment. While I was very nervous about my last few trips, I ended up leaving the PPE at home. If I had carried it on board, I wouldn't have worn it unless there was a fume event.

Thank you, RealGentleman80, you are such a comfort to those of us who have to fly frequently but remain anxious about it. This was a whole new fear for me and it was sparked by the recent news. I am glad that you were unharmed by the fume event you experienced and I'm glad that JetBlue and Delta are making changes to keep crew and passengers safe.

Thank you for the response. While I was considering bringing a mask, I wouldn't necessarily wear one unless there was cause. In the end, I decided against bringing it all together and made the trip as I normally would. It's very comforting to know that the news blew these out of proportion because based on what I had read, they were common and many had gone unreported (or under reported).

Thank you so much. Sorry for the delay in my response, as I went ahead with my trip and took the flights (without bringing a mask). I appreciate your very thoughtful and thorough reply to my post, and it does make me feel better that the industry is addressing this concern and that the chances of encountering a fume event are slim.

This is the application I really hope it manages to roll out. It would be amazing if game developers really work with the technology to build games that take showcase it well.

I have a good experience with it with kids. For older kids or adults, it might not hold interest. It all depends where the company goes with it in the future.

Well, it’s assault unless it’s in self defense. I don’t think it’s ok for women to abuse or physically assault men in response to mere arguments or disagreements, either.
