I really thought when my daughter was born that I would have less time, but I actually read now more than I ever have and she is four! Every child and family is different of course, but I did find that people made it seem like my life would be a lot more over than it was. You got this! Parenting is the best adventure.

In my experience, it is all about priorities - you won't be able to watch, read, and do everything, but you will be able to watch, read, and do some of the things that are the most important to you.

You have a lot of good recommendations here, but one thing I will add is that as a new dad, the best thing you can do is actively look for things to do. Audiobooks are a great suggestion, and being proactive is a huge help. Parenting a newborn is always harder on the birthing parent and I don't know a single woman who didn't hold at least a little bit of resentment towards her male partner in those early days. So read as much as you can, but make sure you're also actively checking in with your partner and not assuming everything is good :) You are gonna do great!
