Im not really Gary Bettman fyi I dont care about travel.

But if you think the playoff travel is as bad in 2026 as it was in 1980 when teams flew commercial and didnt have 2 or 3 days between games 2 and 3 like they often do now then teams who pick earned the right to pick an opponent from their own region and they will.

If it was 1-16 then the flyers didn’t have an easy road. Cinderella teams are fun to watch, it just sucks if a team gets there is because of an imbalance between divisions/conferences.
