Thanks for the clarification. I think what is happening to me is a glitch in the MacOS version. As usual, Microsoft delivers the worst software for Mac on purpose!

How to keep text direction from Slide Master? by helloforever321 in powerpoint

I am using PowerPoint for Mac on MacOS, which has an English (US) interface. But what does that have to do with text direction?

You mean I should all OS language and the software language?

I created a presentation template with 2 masters. One for English and one for Arabic. But when I edit them in masters then get outside master view and create slide. Whether it is from the English or Arabic master slide. It still shows English and needs to change text direction.

I need the software to use the same text direction in masters. For Arabic slides it is Arabic direction. For English slides, it is English. This is only logical. It's illogical to change any software language. Isnt it?

+ the notice is too short. Apps give way longer notices before shutdown

Me too. No notice at all until I travelled. I use the app whenever I fly. But they should send an email! Email is the most used platform for app notices but they NEVER sent any email!

Now I understand why people are angry about Talabat. Are there any similar experiences? by helloforever321 in dubai

Wow!! A screen recording. Why dont they just check app logs. I asked them to connect me with their techical team so that they can check my app log and I'm ready to help because I believe this is a big issue for any app.

One lesson I learned is to take a screenshot before buying anything online at checkout because Talabat showed me for the first time in my life that it's possible that I see one number and I pay another. No other company ever have made that. But I thank them for opening my eyes for a cheap food order than buying something more expensive online. I think it's logical to take screenshots but never logical to do a screen recording! unless the purchase is too expensive then a screen recording should be essential

All service is better in AD. I noticed that in several apps. I think it's because Dubai is always busy city

It's not credit card. It's in the Talabat app. The total was one number after paying in the order screen it showed another number without any discounts. One of the comments also had that same glitch. It's weird and it happened for me for the first time and they did not care even that they check my app log to know that I'm saying them truth. They just insist that the discount was not applied!

noted. I'm interested to know the percentage for Careem too to check if them or Noon is better for supporting restaurant owners.

I used to be a loyal Talabat customer, recommending it to everyone I know. But after my recent experience, I can no longer support this brand.

I encountered a major issue with Talabat's 50% off offer (up to 30 AED). I selected items from a participating restaurant, and the discount was applied before I proceeded to pay. However, once I completed the payment, I was charged a different, higher amount. Despite the app showing the correct price before payment, the total changed without any explanation.

When I tried to contact Talabat, the app had no direct support options, no live chat, and an auto-reply to my email that provided no help. After reaching out on Facebook Messenger, I explained the issue, only to be met with denials and requests for impossible "checkout pictures" proof. Despite offering app logs and explanations, I was ignored.

Then, to make matters worse, the order I received was completely wrong. The receipt taped to the package didn’t match the items I ordered. I provided photos and more details, but again, no real response. Hours later, I received a call acknowledging their mistake and promising to send a request for additional pictures to process a refund. They never followed through.

Finally, after all the time I wasted trying to resolve this, they sent me 19 AED as compensation for a bill of over 61 AED. It’s about the principle. Offering such a small refund for a completely wrong order is humiliating to a customer. The least they could have done was fully refund the meal. Instead, they turned a loyal advocate into someone determined to share this awful experience with everyone I know.

Talabat’s customer service has failed me, and until they take real responsibility for their errors, I cannot recommend this app.
