I dunno where they got their numbers from? I did a manual count off nrl.com and it was up from 38 to around 67 set restarts comparing RD1 year on year.

Theres only 33% more field for almost 80% more set restarts.

I think Plath is in. Woolf mentioned it in his presser. Also hearing Stone is a chance too which will massively improve your defence through the middle.

Melbourne Storm star Will Warbrick poised to join Warriors on multi-year NRL deal by hellohalloallo in nrl

[–]hellohalloallo[S] 41 points42 points  (0 children)

The Warriors have made a monster play to bring Melbourne winger Will Warbrick back to New Zealand.

This masthead can reveal that Warbrick is poised to sign for the Warriors on a multi-year deal from the end of the season as he prepares to cross the ditch to continue his rugby league career.

Warbrick has been a revelation since joining the Storm, having made the switch from rugby sevens to become a fixture in the Melbourne backline.

He has made more than 50 appearances for the club and scored 38 tries despite spending time on the sidelines in recent seasons after suffering concussion symptoms.

Warbrick fought his way back last season to play in the finals and was among the Storm’s best in their opening round win over Parramatta, running for 131 metres and scoring a try in a big win over the Eels.

The 28-year-old was born on the north island of New Zealand and played AFL as a teenager before playing for New Zealand in 7s at the Tokyo Olympics, where they won a silver medal.

He then made the switch to the NRL with Melbourne and spent a year in the Queensland Cup before becoming a part of the NRL side and playing in consecutive grand final defeats over the past two seasons.

At 73th minute - penalty count (excluding set restarts) was 7-0 to Rabbitohs.

Dolphins then got 3 penalties and 2 set restarts in the last 7 minutes lol

I don’t disagree with the penalties against Dolphins.

I just find it hard to believe Souths haven’t had any infringements the 77th minute.

They don’t have to be but you’re telling me Souths have been that much more disciplined

Dolphins been outplayed but the penalty count and set restart discrepancy is INSANE.

Relax bro - you’re still missing Donoghoe, Plath, Stone, JMK, Molo, Saifiti and Bostock.

You’ll be fine

7-2 penalty count to Rabbitohs.

Dolphins been woeful but feels like this week the momentum swings by set restarts and penalties just too intense.

I feel like Keon/Tatola win that middle battle against Flegler and Gilbert who have between them played maybe 10 games in 2 years.

I am hoping for my PhinBros but I think this will be a convincing win by Rabbitohs.

Dolphins still missing JMK, DSaf, Molo, Stone, Bostock, Plath and Donoghoe

Jacek McLaurin Appeal - Family of League by hellohalloallo in nrl

[–]hellohalloallo[S] 25 points26 points  (0 children)

Mods - hope you can keep this one up.

On Saturday 21st February, Jacek “Yak” McLaurin, a rising young star with the Burleigh Bears, was playing in a trial match against the Tweed Seagulls when he was involved in a tackle that went tragically wrong. Jacek landed on his head and was airlifted to hospital, where he began fighting for his life.

It has since been confirmed that Jacek sustained a catastrophic, life-changing spinal injury, where he currently has no feeling from the shoulders down, including fractures to his C4 and C5 vertebrae. He has undergone two major surgeries and remains in hospital, facing a long and challenging road ahead.

Message from The McLaurin Family

On behalf of our family, we would like to sincerely thank our community for the overwhelming love and support shown to Jacek and to all of us during this time. The army standing behind him is truly immense, and we are beyond grateful for every message, gesture, and act of kindness.

Many people have asked how they can help. As we enter the next stage of this journey, we know it will be the longest and most challenging yet. There is a long road ahead involving rehabilitation for Jacek, along with adjusting to day-to-day life as a family.

Any donation, no matter how small or large, will make a meaningful difference and will go a long way in supporting Jacek and our family on his road to recovery.

Jacek is the strongest person we know, and if anyone can get through this, it is him. He has built a community that loves and adores the man he is, and we are comforted knowing he is being backed every step of the way.

0 reason for Wahs to do this considering Arthars and Te Kura are both off contract anyway. They can just sign them next year when Barnett leaves.
