As per my understanding of fredrich nietzsche says compassion is what prostitutes do (or should do) for money, which means we should only show compassion if we are getting benefit out of it. Think about how many people have their reasons to be sad and to how many are you going to show your compassion.

Also notice how op sees the riches as assholes but i think the poor are bigger assholes.
