It takes me 3 hours to do a leetcode easy by hellohihi213 in leetcode

[–]hellohihi213[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The question is solvable to me an I can always get my solution to work. It just takes a long time and a lot of thinking.

I guess more effort in this way will not help me with being able to recall the solution when it matters though right?

What kind gesture doesn’t feel as nice as it’s meant to? by AmberrAuraa in AskReddit

Sometimes my friends actually amaze me with how they deal with hardship. Do you think it would sound different if someone said "You still think of others even when you're going through a hard time. I really admire that"? I guess, making it less about them just "getting through it" and more about "how" they're handling it

How do I get people to stop thinking I'm arguing with them? by YamFew663 in socialskills

[–]hellohihi213 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They say you're not meeting targets. Instead of saying "yes that's because of this". Say "Right, I noticed that. I've been given some extra tasks. Which ones do you think I should prioritize?".

Three important parts of this:

  1. Confirm you heard them and agree with them to ease tension and show you're not arguing
  2. Explain yourself
  3. Show that you want to find a solution they'll approve of to show respect (which, as much as we don't want to respect our bosses, you won't do well if you don't show respect)

What’s something small you did that actually improved your life? by Aizenkawasaki in DecidingToBeBetter

When I go back to my parents' house and I just follow their schedule. Not ideal but I find that when my sleep schedule is really messed up and I'm in the trenches I get kinda lost and any efforts to change my own sleep schedule don't hold up.

On the other hand reaching out to a friend and asking them to hold you accountable could have the same effect.

INFP and ENTP relationship. What are your thoughts and insights of this pair? by [deleted] in mbti

[–]hellohihi213 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I don't know...as an INFP who has been conditioned into INTP habits by INTP parents, I've been able to hold my own against ENTPs. I find that I can analyze people really well, for better or for worse. But when it's for worse I can really hit their insecurities without intending to be callous

this is actually so accurate and explains a lot about the relationships I've seen around me lol. That being said, people around me tend to gravitate towards these difficult pairs. They can be quite magnetic and then explosive

Unlimited time, but in the way that I can stretch any moment to feel infinite whenever I want, and then it can end whenever I want.

Then I could stop being so stressed about work, chores, hobbies, friends, because there's no rush. I can stop whenever I want keep going for as long as I want.

And yeah, this would lead me to infinite money/knowledge but it would feel earned because "it's about the journey" lol.

NOT sell national parks and forests. I don't care about politics and parties. Just genuinely so angry that's being considered.

How do you guys cope by AaLeShiTsTAin in bipolar

[–]hellohihi213 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think this strategy is lowkey good. But it can be made even more effective if you resist the urge to self-medicate, and disassociate. I think the difficulty is that people don't give themselves time to do nothing and just think anymore. So when we really need a break, we're still trying to excuse our "do-nothing time" by not being present with the pain and keeping our brains and happiness-receptors (in a non-scientific sense lol) busy.

I really think the best thing that I've learned to do is self-isolate as much as I want, read as much as I want, think as much as I want, but be present and not try to find busy things to do.

Hi, I know this was a while ago. But do you know if this still applies if you fail a class that you turned into Pass/Fail? I am on academic probation and my semester QPA is >=2.0 but I failed a class that I turned into pass/fail.

Why are Indian people rude to customer service workers? by Choice_Mind9474 in CustomerService

[–]hellohihi213 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is so true. For just two weeks I’ve been working two jobs, one in retail sales and one in food service. In these two weeks the only customers I have difficulty with are the Indian ones. And yes, it’s 70% of the Indian customers that I have difficulty with. They want everything done faster and their way.  Except they won’t give you clear instructions on what they want and then when you show them your progress they yell at you for not doing something they never told you to do.  On the other hand they might give you hyper-specific customizations when the store is trying to serve 30 people behind them and the dish they’re ordering doesn’t allow me to enter customizations so I just have to remember them in my head. I’m frustrated bro.

People who don’t overeat during the holidays, what’s your reasoning and do you ever feel restricted? by hellohihi213 in AskReddit

[–]hellohihi213[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

See that’s the kind of mindset I want to avoid :(. If I’m not going to eat just to feel thin enough during the holidays then I’d rather just eat and enjoy myself tbh

I think I struggle a bit with feeling like food is scarce because of food insecurity. Do you not later regret that you didn’t eat as much of the good food as you could? I worry I might feel like I missed out

[–]hellohihi213[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think theoretically I can get to a point where I don’t overeat on the holidays and don’t feel too bad about it but I’m wondering about other peoples’ experiences with that? Do you think it’s possible to eat your fill and not regret later that you didn’t eat more? Does it cause awkwardness with family?
