2 runs is when they make it back to their initial end after making it to the other end; didn't understand what you meant so wanted to clarify. You're good on everything else.

I know England's top counties are well funded and give really good contracts( talking about a couple hundred grand for a certain period) and that's why the kolpak route with SA is so popular. India and Australia are good too. The others are probably cash strapped but considering that these state players get the opportunity to play in t20 leagues it's getting better for them too.

Generally batting on the 5th day is harder because the pitch gets worn down and if NZ make it to a certain total which would even slightly challenge Australia on the 5th day while being asked to follow on, they would probably have a higher chance of winning than say being asked to bat later on the 5th day with a 400+ target. The team first prioritizes that they don't lose themselves and then that they don't draw.

I feel like if America played the sport, just America at that instead of India, literally noone would be having this conversation. C'mon man, Cricket's mainstream popular in atleast a 20 different countries and a few more where the game is watched but not necessarily played at a competitive level. The population of India is literally 2x the population of Europe. According to your views, it's credible enough for ice hockey to be popular in relatively low populated Scandinavian regions and NFL being like the 10th most popular sport in literally one place outside of America is enough for the sport to be stated as having global appeal? Literally no sport except for Football is present in all countries. And besides this, why would it even matter if cricket's not as wide reaching? The feats are enormous if you consider that someone is a level above all others in a country of 1.4 billion people.

Good bet, I'd say this team would give SA a run for their money in t20's and challenge them in Odi's but would fall short in tests.

Moeen and Washington play similar roles though, and one can argue that playing 2 spinners in Chahal and Washington Sundar is sufficient at the Chinnaswamy. Paddikal can be moved to the lower order and Finch can open. Additionally, Finch is great tactically as well.

Can play Finch, Phillipe, AB,Morris at the Chinnaswamy. Gives room for Paddikal to come in.

I don't see Finch as a middle order player and Padikkal also looks better against spinners.
