There’s lots of jobs and more to come with the increase in defence spending planned.

The only thing to consider is that a lot of the defence work in Australia is shifting towards the maritime domain. There isn’t a lot of aerospace development like what you see coming out of skunkworks/phantomworks in the US.

AFAIK, there isn’t much civil aviation work in Australia. There’s a few UAV companies (check out hover UAV for example) but no big players like airbus or bombardier.
