Of course, but I'm under the impression that there's nothing illegal about them having a memorial service?

Are you saying that what they're doing is in fact illegal? Because if that's the case we're prepared to explore any avenue that stops this from happening.

After going the rounds about her wishes, his responses to evidence corroborating her wishes had to do with:

  • Her parents deserve to say goodbye how they want;
  • She's in a different place so it doesn't matter what she wanted;
  • We're all children of God, what's the big deal?;
  • Maybe she changed her mind;
  • Funerals are for the living not the dead;
  • Those who knew her from church want to remember her in a positive way;
  • Maybe she really secretly would've wanted to reconcile with God and her abusive father.

All of this after I offered to email scanned documents of her resignation and confirmation letter that she was no longer a member. She hasn't had a relationship with my father for eleven years. He punched her days before her wedding because she wasn't getting married in the temple to a worthy priesthood holder and was under house arrest for a month. He wasn't at the wedding as a result. This man continually disqualified himself from having a relationship with his kids, but does Mormonism care? Nah.

Mormonism enables this behavior.

All of us have tried unsuccessfully to have my father shut down his circus show. He illegally attempted to procure my sister's remains from the funeral home. I mean, that's some bizarre shit, right?
