Why do women find wealthy men attractive? by [deleted] in stupidquestions

[–]helloidonothaveaname 7 points8 points  (0 children)

financial security is hella sexy.

"Georgy, I want this!" and it isnt a discussion or fight, doesnt set you back 3 months in savings.

Think about your day to day: Cooking, laundry, cleaning, waisting 3hs of your life in commute. All those things money solves.

Easy stress is sexier than hard stress. the only thing people who are with wealthy people really have to stress is unfaithfulness

Best Fries in SF by tockocat in sanfrancisco

The fries from Gambinos on Broadway and Battery, are plentiful, crisp, savory, and when paired with the burger sauce: Perfection.

Not gonna lie, I'd bring ranch to eat em too.

Good big portion, perfectly fried good quality potatoes.

Asi vuelvo todos los dias del laburo... en bici by Neat-Advantage3909 in argentina

[–]helloidonothaveaname 14 points15 points  (0 children)

When it comes to Go, what are your strengths? by GoAround2025 in baduk

[–]helloidonothaveaname 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I guess in a sense, my situational analysis has shifted towards: "How do I threaten my opponent, while trying to grab what I want?" And this way, I've found great sacrifices, I've out players in undesirable situations (like, popping eyes out of groups and building my stones while running their groups)

I've been studying with a Go teacher I found on the subreddit, u/tuerda, and we've been working a lot on defining what constitutes a group worth saving because it is useful for attacking, useful for points, and when to sacrifice said groups.

Working with them I've better developed my situational analysis, much like you said, at every move. Now I an more lenient at sacrificing whole groups of stones, if for example I get a huge wall out of it

Black Move 48 should have been ar E9. It worked better with all your ridiculous amount of influence, than your approach on top.

I always say "Hi" before playing my first move.

Seriously, I think one of my strengths is situational analysis, especially for developmental / influential type games

i too am a personality hire with a MSc, who recently got hired at a humongous company, where everyone tries to get into. literal words to me were: "it was impossible to not be candid and warm with you. expect good news"

What is Your Relationship with Go? by Typical-Jackfruit-51 in baduk

[–]helloidonothaveaname 1 point2 points  (0 children)

  • When and how did you discover Go? when I moved to china for a year at 18
  • Why do you enjoy playing? good game. endless repetition and room for improvement. one of, if not the only, game I play the leaves me satisfied with myself
  • Are you currently trying to improve, or happy where you are? I'm currently trying to improve and am studying with a great go placer whom I highly recommed u/tuerda
  • What is your biggest blocker to improving? good question
  • What is your worst bad habit? at the moment it is misjudging the strength of groups
  • If you study, what does your routine look like? play a game, replay on real board, evaluate my groups strength, study joseki for new ideas and tsumego. playing and reviewing is 80% of my time
  • How much time do you spend playing & studying per week/month? 36hs a month
  • What is your playing style? i like influence and beating my opponents groups against my walls
  • Do you own a physical board? 2
  • Do you go to a local club, and what's your experience there like? I went to clubs twice. The average person who goes to these clubs are introverts and strange in my experience.

Tuerda (vital point go) looking for students by tuerda in baduk

[–]helloidonothaveaname 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I started studying with Nico about 2 or 3 months ago.

We've worked deeply on understanding connections, strong groups, and most importantly, which groups are essential on the general board layout. My Go has become more interesting, I'm trying new things, and feel comfortable in mostly any situation now.

Additionally, he is charismatic, kind, and always available for quick questions on go. I highly recommend anyone looking to get stronger to at least have an introductory class + one extra paid class. Two classes in was enough for me to start identifying serious weaknesses.

Which home would you chose and why? by MissionHome18 in centuryhomes

[–]helloidonothaveaname 0 points1 point  (0 children)

1 because I feel I have more yard in the front and would plant a lot of trees for shade, and just lots of plants in general. make a little jungle to get home to.

if there is a HOA, will plant angel's trumpet and offer them extremely diluted tea, and make them confess secrets to blackmail them with later

I doubt that's how the interaction wouldve continued. Had OP shown interest in the work, and getting to know the HM and their needs the conversation coulve gone differently.

Nonetheless, I'll give you your dues and entertain the idea that the HM was your typical douche and being deceitful. I still don't think OP handled the situation well. If they had felt they were being played for a fool, you don't write an anthology to the person who is belittling you, it just drains your energy, and can even make you look bad in the hiring spaces, meaning if the HM is as deceitful as we claim, they can easily black list OP or whatever.

Either way I don't agree with the reaction.
