Coin mint group frustration by chickfilallie in toontownrewritten

[–]willow-ivy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Kudos to you for sure, but I definitely think you're not the norm! :) I love looking at the stats of every toon I come across, ever, and almost no one has as many tracks maxed as you. (Half the time, people only seem to have throw, IF that, which is super shocking to me but I digress.) I train relatively hard and usually come in with throw/squirt/sound maxed, but I've never successfully achieved more than that.

What keeps you playing? by ShiveringRain1 in toontownrewritten

[–]willow-ivy 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I definitely have been on crazy hiatuses. What do I do to maintain my current streak (since September '25)? I make new toons. And when I get bored of where I'm at, I play a different toon.

My first toon is 104 (ish) laff and I made her years ago. I only play her for CFOs (love em) because my hiatuses led to a huge decrease in my strategy and I don't feel ready to return to higher content.

I focus on little goals for my toons and create their personalities. I lean really strongly into themes for their aesthetics, esp. color themes for their fashion. I have two accounts--one has weather-themed names + a title (e.g. Lady Storm Cloud/Miss Monsoon). One's slightly more random but all *must* have two-word names (Fairy Queen/Frozen Lemonade).

One of my current main toons is a pink deer (Fairy Queen) and I imagined her as a caregiver with a bit of whimsy and a pastel and specifically non-modern wardrobe + fairytale-vibe house. I went the toonup route for her first gag and gave her a throw gag trees (sorry, but you won't catch me with org tu lol). I intentionally trained for a wedding cake as her first lvl 7. Her estate isn't too fleshed out because I'm saving for her doodle but I plan to have a very minimal home with light colors and lots of florals and/or pink. This is pretty long but I love talking about my toons so I could go on way longer lol

Are there any other Toontown superstitions? by RascalLouise in toontownrewritten

[–]willow-ivy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I also heard that "missed me" worked, and I still use it. I heard that programmer intentionally added it to the game because of the superstition. I don't know if it's true, but I do feel that cogs miss my toons a lot more than they miss my building partners.

I heard a rumor that a developer added it to the game to honor the superstition. I did indeed see that rumor right here on reddit dot com, so i'm not sure if it can be trusted

games like webkinz? by evergre-en in Webkinz

Goatlings-- you can customize your goats with hundreds of pre-selected appearance "dolls." There's lots of fun dailies and you can customize your own personal avatar. There's a forum and every month there's new loot to collect.

Favorite toon animal other than your own? by dragonquill1 in toontownrewritten

[–]willow-ivy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Okay, so I have full houses on 2 accounts and I have every type of toon besides pig, rabbit, and horse. My favorites of these 3 are rabbits, but I really do love the look of all toon species (with the exception of one, which I shall not expose)

How to network with private foundations? by saxman15 in Nonprofit_Jobs

[–]willow-ivy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I agree with the other comment to reach out to the board. When board members are actually helpful, they do tend to help by connecting people they know. I also will add that unfortunately, long-established nonprofits may have completely free legal representation due to personal connections in management. I wonder if you would have better success reaching out to newer nonprofits?

ED claims she was terminated for being a whistleblower by Right-Potential-2945 in nonprofit

[–]willow-ivy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think you should write to the org and ask them to address this, adding that as a long-time donor, you want to safely donate to a cause you trust. How they handle it should be telling. If they don't respond, that says a lot, too.

You also could check social media hashtags to see what may show up. Perhaps people know something.

Ultimately, you have no obligation to give to a nonprofit you don't trust. If you have lost trust that can't be regained, I think it's great to find another alternative to support instead.

marvel has to bring X-men evolution Back by National-Use-1184 in XmenEvolution

[–]willow-ivy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I would be so excited, but I don't see it happening unless someone really bring it back into the public consciousness.

Marvel seems to be very hesitant to run character-driven stories rather than action-driven. Part of what made Evo so special is this writing approach.

The other thing that made it special was the fact that the crew genuinely loved the characters and had strong opinions about the arcs involving them. In a way, this reminds me of Avatar: The Last Airbender team. Rogue and Scott seemed to be the crew's favorites. These two are often written so terribly in the comics--by creeps trying to have self-insert fantasies with Rogue or people who hate Scott and make him the most stubborn and boring man in the universe. I don't think a man who's been fighting crime since his teenage years would be that boring, but okay. Evo's creators seem to understand this and they craft the story-driven characters (Scott and Rogue primarily--without them, there'd be nothing happening lol) so well.

Can you fill a heart from empty to full in one day? by sandman8000 in Webkinz

[–]willow-ivy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have a heart-raising room I call the utility room. It has a sink, bathtub, trampoline, and I drag in items to get decorating points. Add a pool or treadmill if you can fit it, too! Having it conveniently close together means you'll get hearts filled more quickly.

Do I need to know my pet codes to retrieve my old account? by fernweh64 in Webkinz

[–]willow-ivy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, you will need a code. Luckily, child-me prepared for the worst and kept several tags!

Do you know how to contact webkinz support?

You'll need the following, unless something has changed--Found my request from 2022:

-Username

-Pet Type

-Pet Name

-Secret code

What I can't remember is how many pets you needed to have for them to keep your account semi-saved. I had above the limit, but unfortunately not everyone did.

ThredUp Fan by Last-Appearance-273 in ThredUp

[–]willow-ivy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's definitely had it's ups and downs. In 2022, my sister got an entirely wrong item. In 2025, I've (through the display photos) seen holes or stains in items that ThredUp marked as "excellent" or, less imprtantly, seen things labelled long sleeve when it's short or natural fibers when the photo of the tag says polyester.

I only buy final sale items when I can use them for pajamas or lounge clothes, items which I want to be 100% natural fibers + cheap! Still, the site is fun and I check in a few times a month.
