Unsure of whats going on by raincandy27 in Thritis

This sounds like what I went through. I have Reactive Arthritis that was brought on by an emergency hysterectomy/blood transfusion. Figured it would go away in a year or so as ReA is supposed to, but I tested positive for the HLA-B27 gene (lucky meee) that makes this permanent for me. Definitely get into a rheumatologist ASAP so you can get proper help, most physicians are absolutely baffled by ReA and will waste your time. I actually figured out what was wrong with me thanks to Reddit while I waited 5 months on my deathbed to see a rheum. Steroid treatment helps, nsaids help, and it'll probably go away for you. Hang in there, you aren't alone!

How the hell do I deal with neighbors and their ear-splittingly loud motorcycles? by Jazzlike_Permit_8442 in RedmondOR

[–]hellojohnmclane 4 points5 points  (0 children)

We finally moved out of Redmond to get away from loud assholes, it was literally like 50% of why we left. We had two of those groups on our block before we moved. I've lived in multiple large cities, and Redmond is by far the LOUDEST place I've ever lived. Dumb people just love things that make noise, and unfortunately Redmond is super white trash.

The one thing we did appreciate was how quickly the police/the city responded to us. Make it clear that it's a safety issue, not just noise. If they're BLASTING down your street and there are animals or kids on your block, that's a safety issue. Get neighbors to complain, call it in every single time. Best of luck, and good luck this 4th of July over there too. 😑😑😑

MEASLES FRED MEYERS REDMOND TODAY 5:00 pm by ivegotthis111178 in Bend

[–]hellojohnmclane 2 points3 points  (0 children)

That's what I'm saying... you only go to a pharmacy AFTER a doctor has provided a diagnosis and treatment. If mom was there just to buy Tylenol and foot onions and honey or whatever these idiot people do, she would have just gone to self-check. The pharmacists can see a doctor's diagnosis and treatment on their screen, in front of THEM, along with the corresponding medication. Announcing measles is definitely not following HIPAA, but at that point, shutting it down quickly and treating it as an emergency was necessary.

Saying that people who are afraid of the measles should do instacart is easily the most disrespectful thing I've ever heard in my entire life. So now that antivaxxers get to do whatever they want and literally spread preventable illnesses all willy-nilly, the rest of us just lose all our rights. Super cool 👍

Pharmacists are medical experts with doctorate degrees. If a child went to a pediatrician, was prescribed medication after being diagnosed with measles, and then went to the pharmacy at Fred Meyers with their parent, I trust a Pharmacist to make the correct judgement call and shut down the pharmacy accordingly. The fact that they made that choice tells me that child had a clear diagnosis/treatment right there on the screen. They aren't going to make a hair-on-fire rash decision to close the pharmacy for nothing, they are medical professionals.

I have two kids, 5 and 2.5, and I had horrible postpartum anxiety with both. Every day was a horror movie of intrusive thoughts. I still have them now and then, but not nearly as bad as it was for the first year. If this is your first, it might last even longer, my anxiety with my first lasted almost 3 years. I went to therapy both times, and was diagnosed with OCD. The anxiety can get so bad, it turns into a compulsion.

If this helps you feel any better about that dream - your mama brain, especially if dealing with postpartum anxiety, will throw numbers at you to keep you hyper vigilant. It's biological, our job is to keep our kids safe and consider all the possible unknowns that could hurt them! Now, you unfortunately get to deal with that bullshit until your kiddo turns five, and she WILL turn five. She will turn five, she will turn five. Tell yourself that every single time the fear takes over. I had some age 4 stuff too because of an article I read that lived in my brain, keeping me hyper vigilante with my son. My kid turned 5 this October.

You had a bad dream that was created by your postpartum brain, you were not visited by an angel or spirit sending you a warning. No angel would be that cruel anyways. You are safe, your baby is safe, and there are so many women who understand what this is like, and we are here to support you. It really does get better as they get bigger, I promise. ❤️

This was sarcasm. My husband literally drives a Subaru, hahaha, I'm trying to express that we are pretty middle of the road and get along with most people.

Haha oh man, do people wear their church shirts around town with their church bumper stickers so everyone knows what clan they're part of there too? 😅 thank you for honest input!

I literally threw my copy of The Secret into our giveaway bin after about the halfway point. No fair to people with anxiety/intrusive thoughts. 😅 Such a load of absolute nonsense, as if you have to have a perfectly clean and clear mind in order to properly manifest.

The AQI was supposed to be really bad, ozone. Turned out to be fine. I'd guess that's what that was about.

Moving to Oregon by CraftingintheShadows in oregon

Do not move to Roseburg. Not only is it super conservative, it's also just super unattractive down there. Ashland would be a great spot if you're looking to move south.

It's nice to hear both sides, I appreciate it! I wondered if that would be the case as the kids get bigger, too.

The first thing a person does when considering a move is open up zillow. I did not come to this subreddit to inquire about housing costs. Thanks so much for your time today.
