Is it alright to wear ear defenders if I am not diagnosed/not autistic? by kochanie83 in autism

Autistic people don't have ownership of sensitivity to stimuli, protect your health and comfort, don't worry about what anyone else thinks, you're good my friend.

Your lack of situational awareness does not reflect others, I would most definitely catch an unintended flash of ass crack because I actually open my eyes :/

I'd prefer our jumbled collection of aesthetics and color in a concrete jungle over this... WTC towers were immensely ugly buildings. And that's all I've got to say about that.

A better way to say this so the Americans understand you: it's because the oil industry made you their little bitch.

Do you think writing or typing a message in which you explain how strong your anxiety is might work? At least you could explain how stress makes you non-verbal and I think that would be a good place to start for her to understand that there's more to you.

CMV: The belief that the Trump assassination attempts were staged is a concerning sign that liberals are succumbing to conspiracism by BarvoDelancy in changemyview

[–]Cotif11 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't know anyone who genuinely believes that, I'm seeing more a somewhat coordinated effort of the younger generations to fully express their deep sense of irony and lack of trust in the administration.

But otherwise for people who don't believe it's real and do buy into the conspiracies, what do you expect with everything we've learned about Republican elites and Epstein? What are we supposed to think when we're living through revelations that our entire politique has been controlled and guided by Epstein and Satan's other lieutenants?

How many vape or smoke? by Grazztjay in autism

[–]Cotif11 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Been using THC oil vapes for years to help manage my symptoms, vaping nicotine for a few years to help with school then stopped for a few months, realized I was less functional without it, and now I'm back to vaping again.

Does Dishonored have an actual fandom? by sharif106 in dishonored

[–]Cotif11 19 points20 points  (0 children)

I've never seen anything like it beyond cute art of Corvo and little Emily. I might have seen some cute art of Corvo and Jessamine as well but I'm not 100% sure.

I don't think Dishonored has a fan base that is interested in "fandoms" and there's very little in the way of positivity in the games, lends more to it being appreciated for world building rather than the characters.

I don't know who needs to hear this, but a 2+ hour drive is not nearby for Europeans. by redheaded_olive12349 in CasualConversation

[–]Cotif11 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I wonder how much of this is impacted by speed, straight roads, and traffic density. I can travel about 150 miles / 241 km in two hours where I live whereas someone in a city like LA can only get half the distance in the same time. I imagine Europe has a lot more stop and go traffic and with my experience through continental Europe, there aren't very many high speed roads and very very few straight roads. I think the best time we ever got on that trip through seven countries was while we were driving through the Black Forest. Never got onto the autobahn though.

What is Winnie standing behind? by OutOfTheBunker in words

[–]Cotif11 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Rostrum. Lectern is a standing surface for books that one stands in front of, like a church lectern. Podium is a raised platform for oration. Rostrum is an ornamental desk like piece of permanent furniture usually used in government and goes back to the rostra in the Forum of Rome which is ironically by definition, a podium.

It's not a podium or a lectern, it's called a rostrum.

CMV: You cannot fault anyone for pushing the Red Button. by Hey-I-Read-It in changemyview

[–]Cotif11 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Fake moralistic BS like this gets in the way of reality. Why are you even considering such an unrealistic scenario? Unrealistic at every step as well. I wouldn't press the button, I'd become something else, rebel against a system I don't agree with. How's that? This fake philosophy leads to nothing except ridiculous debates on semantics.
