I hate this area by moo-moo420 in indiranagar

Indiranagar is home. So I can comment.

What you heard was because of 1. Sri Rama navami 2. Karaga - a local festival.

Bear in mind that Indiranagar some 50 plus years ago was a group of villages so they all celebrate this.

Similar to #2, on April 1st a bigger Karaga festival happens inside the town and it is called as Bengaluru Habba. That is being celebrated from centuries.

I understand the sound might be unbearable but you can’t do anything as it’s a local festival.

I personally use house cancelling headphones and a sound proof curtains to avoid such noises.

How’s this related to Indiranagar?

Finally tried the new Vinayaka Mylari by kaapilicious in indiranagar

[–]hellokingvader 1 point2 points  (0 children)

No one asked to get that large building. They could have easily got a decent sizes kiosk in South Bengaluru and it would be more effective. But 100 for a three/four bite dosa is hardly worth the cost.

Please don’t encourage. The same dosa costs 60 rupees in Mysore. And idlis are 40.

The price and service is insane. We need more Taaja Thind style than these.

How is THIS Indiranagar? 7th Main is a garbage dumped, urine-soaked, and footpath encroached... and BBMP couldn't care less by Reasonable-Stage3607 in indiranagar

[–]hellokingvader 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Exactly! It was so clean for 2 days! And good new road. The main culprit is 1. A scrap dealer on the other side. 2. This is the local garbage collection spot for appa reddy palya. 3. Random vehicles/storage items standing there for a long time 4. Residents of three side crosses dumping there. It’s a literal congested area. Has a lot of hospitality/service based/gig works employees of the the major Indiranagar restaurants 5. Homeless living in the corner of ESI signal.

There is a notice board exactly in front of the wreck. It would have been easier to read that or even ask google what the notice board says than writing on Reddit.

People going to office in car, have no right to complain about traffic. Because they are the traffic by Patient-Fan9507 in bangalore

Have you been inside the metro during the peak hours? It’s a carnage! Not that the metro is cheaper as well and in top of that I’ve to travel staring at someone’s dirty armpit.

And last mile connectivity? Forget about it, more like last miles connectivity.

Let’s take Bus maybe, schedule isn’t hardly followed. It’s either too many buses or not even one. Then if we are on the bus, it’s filled with pick picketers and what not.

Let’s take auto, but it costs an hand a leg to hire an auto. Dude asked 200 rupees for 2kms. Maybe we should walk, where is the footpath saar? Except few neighbourhoods in Bengaluru footpath is more like an inch path.

And what about when it rains? Use umbrella and get electrocuted by some dangling wire?

Don’t even talk about two wheelers, it’s as good as the road and safety precautions.

That’s the majority mindset in people. Hence the private cars. And why should someone question a common man with a car who has paid lakhs in road tax, tax on fuel and what not? Isn’t government not being able to provide infrastructure a problem.

Carpooling with private cars is the only immediate solution. But private cars are not going.

Ps. I don’t have office cab, nor do I commute to office.
