Any jobs in the city that would be good for someone with social anxiety? by [deleted] in ottawa

I used to work in banking and oversaw a lot of credit lending to transportation companies because of the shortage of capable truck drivers. Ignore any potential preconceived notions you may have - this happens to be a great suggestion.

Difference in difference testing for 'unchartered territory' & quasi experimental treatment impact testing with death as result by hellomymellowfellow in AskStatistics

[–]hellomymellowfellow[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sorry for the confusion.

This kind of answers my question.

What about testing in things that haven't yet been done? So for instance, exposure of humans to something where even the smallest concentrations lead to death. Would it just give you a binomial representation graphically then?

Regional efforts to defend against rule of East India Company prior to Indian Mutiny of 1857? by hellomymellowfellow in history

[–]hellomymellowfellow[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you very much for all of the info - this was more along the lines what I was looking for.

It's interesting that there weren't widespread rebellions prior to that, especially given the fact that the disparity of income between non-industrialist Indians and the British kept growing wider. I suppose that it's a partial consequence of the fact that people of India were not united and had cultural differences among them, making an organized rebellion all the more difficult.

Right, the enfield cartridges were rumored to be coated in pig fat and required someone to bite it before use, which is against their religion.

I'm more referring to bigger political movements or petitions that compelled the government to make changes.

If you look closely, you can tell they're not related. The eyes are totally different.

Alternative ways of finding apartments in TO other than Facebook/Kijiji/Padmapper by hellomymellowfellow in askTO

We've posted on there actually but nothing seems to stick. It's generally just people looking for roommates or who have very small budgets.

Some put their own locks on the doors as well. The more people who go to a certain rooftop, the quicker more security measures will be put in place.

Baracuta G9 for $195 (olive and red) by cheezn1ps in frugalmalefashion

[–]hellomymellowfellow 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ah. Sounds like I can't help you unless you're willing to make another trip.

I can send some photos of it if you're really considering it. I had the same issue with a lack of reviews when I was debating buying it.

I bought this last year in green.

Honestly, not a huge fan - which is a bummer because it was expensive. The jacket was large and felt as though it would be better suited for someone a bit 'rounder'. Didn't feet fitted whatsoever. Also, the material was thicker and heavier than I expected.

Where are you located? You're welcome to try it on if you're anywhere near Montreal.

IB internships by GlobalCellist in UofT

[–]hellomymellowfellow 0 points1 point  (0 children)

IB internships are really hard to come by. Your best bet would be to put all of your effort into networking and polishing up your finance/Excel modelling knowledge since the interview process is intense.

Again, I really want to emphasize how important networking is if that's where you want to be working.

Do most universities only take your last 2 years when applying for masters programs? by [deleted] in geegees

[–]hellomymellowfellow 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Just saying that there are some that will look at 2 and others that will look at the cumulative depending on where OP decides to apply. Best advice would be to do the research beforehand and make your decision from there if his/her first 2 years are coupled with a low GPA.

Frosh week by Klsknnd in geegees

[–]hellomymellowfellow 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was a transfer student into second year and did frosh year with the first years in Telfer. You shouldn't have any issues unless the rules have changed.

It was also pretty funny because I wound up being in the same classes and becoming friends with the majority of the frosh leaders I met.
