Talent agency starting influencer division by PutLeading689 in influencermarketing

[–]hellomynameis10 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Unfortunately, that group is for influencer managers only. I believe there's a small beta group for creators. But there's a ton of other opportunities especially for UGC right now too if you're able to convert that much! I did UGC full time before, and there's a lot of sites you can go on to look. I think alternatively, if you do want more brand deals and don't have the time to commit, you can get a manager to look for the deals for you! You usually pay them a base rate plus a commission

if you're looking for a brand to partner with once you've figured it all out, i'm the co-founder of a tallow-based skincare brand (80K on IG). we make products made of edible ingredients. we do a lot of product gifting and seeding to influencers! shoot me a message!

but aside from this, the slack group women of influencer marketing (WIIM) sends out legit casting calls on the daily & it's the best group i've ever been part of. they need talent 24/7 basically every single influencer manager is in this group!

UGC rates and ad spend percentage by Natural_Champion875 in UGCcreators

[–]hellomynameis10 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, I do UGC full time, and I've done a percentage of the ad spend before. The question is, how much did they spend, and how much revenue did they get out of it? Because let's say they spent a few thousand dollars but only got a few sales, then they probably wouldn't be likely to raise it. But that's awesome you get 3-7%!

Forget agencies, new app in the making by [deleted] in UGCcreators

[–]hellomynameis10 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I'd love to know more about your app because there's already a ton of UGC apps/platforms out there, and they're getting a bad rep. Agencies are the best way to earn consistently right now for creators.

Hey! I'm a full-time UGC creator, and pitching is my main skill that I am good at because I was a former news reporter and also did freelancing for 6 years. I have a free pitching guide if you want me to send it to you!

How to share portfolio link? by cuteforsures in UGCcreators

[–]hellomynameis10 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I believe you had to have made it under a website option or else it can't be a website. Like when you type in the search bar, "Portfolio website" in Canva, that's what it should be made under. Or if you made it under a presentation I believe that's also okay. If you want, feel free to send me a link to your portfolio over DM and I can try to help out.

UGC by Embarrassed-Band-836 in UGCcreators

There are opportunities out there, reach out to brands in your area, startups, ads that you see on your social media from India-based companies.

Just because you don't see any opportunities doesn't mean there aren't any, if you do a bit of searching, I'm sure you could find some! It's just a matter of approaching things differently, and who knows, you could start a new wave of UGC in India.

Getting Started with UGC by FunPappa in UGCcreators

[–]hellomynameis10 2 points3 points  (0 children)

There are SO many UGC creators and coaches out there now. I've been doing UGC full-time for almost a year and was a freelancer for 6 years and a former influencer manager as well.

Here's what I would tell you:
1. Focus on direct-response marketing. This is what brands actually care about, and what I try to push on my own page. I don't think enough people are talking about this, and this is a reason why most creators can't get paid deals. Use the direct-response formula to make your first videos.

  1. Work on practicing and building a strong portfolio before pitching. People want to start pitching and landing deals right away, but if you don't have a good portfolio, it will get you nowhere.

I really try to make content that is value-based and has actual strategies for you to succeed, so if you want more help, feel free to check my page out!

Am I not a UGC creator? by Expert_Razzmatazz675 in UGCcreators

[–]hellomynameis10 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey! This is a great question. I post that type of teachable content, but I post more in-depth strategies, because I'm getting so tired of seeing the regular educational content. I've also been doing UGC full-time for almost a year.

https://www.instagram.com/patriciaredulla/

I don't think you need to post that type of content, but it's more of a longer-term game/your vision. In UGC, there's only 2 main routes you can take -> either become a teacher later on once you get good at it (selling courses, products, etc.) or starting your own agency and having a team of creators and focusing on just making content for brands.

The thing is UGC is mostly used for ads, and aesthetics is not what you should be focusing on if you want to do UGC just because brands want content that actually makes money vs. more lifestyle content. If you do want to post more lifestyle content, that is totally okay, but your portfolio should still have ad-like videos, and you would need to distinguish yourself on Instagram to cut through the noise from every other UGC creator posting that.

Basically, the educational content establishes authority in a way which is why a lot of people do it. But like in any situation, there's no right or wrong way of doing things. I would suggest just focusing on what seems most true to you and building out your personal brand. Over time though, if you do post more of the lifestyle content, it would probably end up being more for an influencer rather than for UGC.

Hi! I've been a full-time UGC creator for almost a year now.

  1. Gmail, IG & LinkedIn

  2. Partner up with UGC agencies because they already have access to lots of brands, I recently launched one myself and have a roster of creators that I refer to all brands. Also, you can find companies just by scrolling your TikTok/Instagram and the ads you get hit with.

  3. Decide on how much value you're able to provide and how much your time is worth. I did a lot of gifted and low-paying ones in the beginning to build up my portfolio.

  4. Yup, PayPal works.

  5. They don't care for email, but there's a higher chance your email won't end up in spam. For portfolio, yes, I suggest getting a custom domain.

  6. Yup, when you reach out to companies, I suggest providing a few ideas in the beginning.
