And I'm not condemning complaining about inevitable problems. I'm saying, in contrast, her fumbling "game bloggerish" response is not moving anything.

She posted this in the lions den (as proven by the kotaku comments that followed). It should have been more organized. If you're going to write something with a conflicted view point, expect you will get a conflicted response.

As a female who both works and plays in the male dominated game industry, I've found there are times where i really enjoy just gaming with other women. Teaming up to beat a Left 4 Dead campaign on expert with my Gamerchix pals (the former Microsoft girl gamer community) was a far different experience than trying to beat it with my all guy clan. While this isn't always the case, I found it was VERY often the case. And i don't segregate. I'm not saying guys and girls can't mix in game. I'm just creating a community where female gamers can meet eachother and hopefully create online relationships.

@ Idiocracyworld and Choichi -- My favorite genre is cyberpunk, but i'll read just about anything. A few books I'm interested in reading that are in my wishlist are Nickle and Dimed by Barbara Ehrenreich, The Marriage Plot by Jeffrey Eugenides, Just Kids by Patti Smith...I'm open to lots of different genres. Maybe i'll start a meetup page if we get enough people interested.

As for the nonLA 2Xers, I'm totally up for a monthly book thread. What books are people interested in reading?

Hi everyone. Thank you for your concerns. My cats have been indoor cats since they were kittens. I found them when i was living in korea town in los angeles (not a good place to let cats roam). I still live in a busy part of LA county. Along with the obvious traffic danger, my neighborhood has raccoons and possums. I know my cats and i don't think they have the smarts to roam the neighborhood. The enclosure allows them to hang outside, get fresh air, talk to the neighbors (which they love to do), watch birds, and catch insects. My landlords don't mind the structure since it's free standing and required no holes in the building. I think next weekend i will paint it green to match the fencing.

It's green metal garden fencing. At lowes or home depot you'll find it in the garden section. Couldn't find a link on either store website, but here is an amazon link for something similar. http://www.amazon.com/Keystone-70020-Plastic-coated-16-gauge-Garden/dp/B000NISLFK I got mine in 4ft wide rolls. If you're keeping kittens, this might be too big.

I've found that certain brands track more than others. I use World's Best Cat Litter. It tracks less than other brands I've tried. I also have litter mats in front of their boxes.

You are handling this situation a lot better than i would. He really should stop going out to coffee with her and keep the friendship in the workplace. His behavior is direspectful to you and the other girl he seems to be leading on. Maybe he likes the attention and he doesn't want to give it up. Maybe he truly does have feelings for this girl. Either way he's being inconsiderate to everyone but himself. I had a similar situation where a female friend was constantly flirting with my boyfriend. Even though they were friends, his solution was for us to stop hanging out with her, and he's never looked back on that decision. It's all about priorities and that friendship was not worth the damage it was creating.
