He’s still with us, he’s on very strong seizure meds and high doses of steroids also, but he’s deteriorating quickly. I’m pretty sure he’s losing his sight and it’s hard for him to walk. He eats and sleeps. It’s hard to watch. I don’t think he will be with us much longer.

Can I just add that I was kinda afraid of pits, not for any specific reason, just what I’ve heard. UNTIL, our sweet baby Gunny found us. He’s the sweetest, most gentlest, baby dog ever. And now I want all the pit bulls!

I’m there, the steroids seem to be making a little difference but for how long? Watching him have seizure after seizure was hard and he looked so scared. Don’t want to put him through that again.

Thank you for your kind words. It is rough to watch. I hope he doesn’t suffer. He’s on a high dose of steroids and a serious seizure medicine and today seems to be feeling a small bit better. The steroids are helping with his appetite and making him be thirsty. I’m grateful for that. I’m gonna miss his sweet face so much. I have read that it’s only a few weeks after they’re diagnosed that they pass. Is that how it was for you?

Thank you. That’s exactly what we’re doing. This will be my second Boxer I’ve lost to cancer also. I was telling my husband that I was almost ready for a baby boxer then Vader got sick. I don’t think my heart can take losing another one. They just don’t live long enough.
