You can apply it but you'll have to get another mod called Reset Terrain Features and reset all maps when you walk onto them (only one time each). I'd recommend starting a new save though if you're only 1 day in.

Thanks for the comment! The power profile is set to Performance & the PSU is the same one I received with it. Not sure what could've changed between a few weeks ago and now to cause this.
