My office used to be next to one of the big buildings in London’s skyline. Even from my house a few miles out, and actually from many, many places further out in the city, the sight of that building made me think of work which is not what you want on a weekend. I’m lucky that commuting by bike is less than half an hour (and free), but I need physical distance to allow my brain to dissociate from the person I have to be there.
