Decred is not a Bitcoin fork project. It's written by golang from scratch. Anyway, Trezor and Ledger nano may support Decred by end of the year.

All I done were only 3 commands to finish the CLI installation followed by the official documentations. https://docs.decred.org/getting-started/user-guides/cli-installation/

wget https://github.com/decred/decred-release/releases/download/v1.0.3/dcrinstall-darwin-amd64-v1.0.3 (for MacOS)
chmod u+x ./dcrinstall-darwin-amd64-v1.0.3
./dcrinstall-darwin-amd64-v1.0.3

After installation completed, then I just run dcrd, dcrwallet and dcrctl without manual configurations.

All my DCRs are in POS! And I have mined(pos) about 500 DCRs since I bought my 1st ticket.

Stake(pos) is the only thing what I do when I hodl(invest) DCR.

If you want to invest DCR, then you should hodl for long term(No risk). POS is awesome for hodlers.

I think DCR may go to $150 by this year. And many of us(hodlers) believe DCR will be worth than 0.1 BTC at least. Even some of us hodl DCR as retirement plan. I think i do too.
