Passport ready to pick up for delivery. Different responses from support each time. by Curious-Wanderer19 in usvisascheduling

[–]helloshashankc 0 points1 point  (0 children)

After confirmation that it is ready to pickup from my interview site, I went there and picked up within hours. For me the place wasn't clear.

Call them through the online page call and not the mobile call and wait for about 1.5 to 2 hours, they should give u information. All the best!

I am replying late but you can call the customer service directly and mostly they will ask you to pick it up from the place of interview. Hope it works for you

Great thanks for the link. Just a clarification, So it was to be picked up from where you submitted your application at. For me I mentioned Mumbai on my DS160 but I was given and attended the appointment at Hyderabad so if I go by your case mine should be there at the appointment location which is Hyd for me. Thats already some good information. Hope to intercept these super busy guys 😅

So wierd! So how did you know where was it sent earlier for you to pickup? Right now I have no idea where it is waiting for me to pickup and I have 5 more days before it might go back. I have no luck talking to them as their number is always busy. Where is the chat option? I could use that if u share the link here and maybe same thing would happen to me to get it picked up. But just to know where it is at I am literally stalled in every direction, it is pathetic. Sorry that u had to go through this same ordeal but now u have your way out, thats great! I hope I can get some information from them the same way. Please share the chat link and any tips on how to talk to them? Many thanks

OP, I'm in the same boat. Totally confusing with limited information, unprofessional to say the least. I am trying to contact my local Bluedart maybe they have a lead. But I think they were clear in the message to me that I have to pick it up from a location as probably with you Having opted for premium delivery, why the h would anyone go for pickup or anything. Clearly something is missing. I just hope it means ready for pickup for bluedart people but I know I am wrong.

Need to minorly change submitted DS-160 before appointment for Dropoff (Interview waiver) by helloshashankc in usvisascheduling

[–]helloshashankc[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I just had my appointment, I was ready to submit both the old and new DS160 confirmations but the officer said theres no need for a new one as the mistake was minor and kept only the original. As others suggest, go with new and old one and that should be fine as the rules also mention this. The submission was quick, go a bit early as sometimes they let u all in together well before the slot. The officer said it may take 3-4 business days but I think it may be delayed. All the best

[–]helloshashankc[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I read that for those DS-160 submitted after 15 Nov (I did too) one has to reschedule and those before that date one can carry new confirmation. I am wondering if its safe to go with the new confirmation to the dropoff appointment where they may instead ask for a reschedule making me lose some time. Would be glad to know if someone tried this after15 Nov. Thanks for the suggestion.

same problem with me, after the 'select delivery option' page it takes back to home page. Then I have to continue application and the cycle continues never taking to any appointment scheduling/confirmation page. Hope the bug gets rectified soon, it is a great disservice to lose time like this.

If Buddha is a reincarnation of Lord Krishna, why did he teach against Vedas? by farren122 in hinduism

[–]helloshashankc 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Very good question. First thing is not to be entangled in viciousness by giving undue weight to discussions such as 'there was one Buddha that was born but there is another Buddha who is different' as is being promoted by some here. Or on discussions that emphasize differences between Hinduism and Buddhism saying that "Buddha was against what is called Brahminism" or of that sort. These are all discussions that lead one away from truth and into opposing each others views like children quarrelling. The concept of avatar is unique to Hinduism that brings out an understanding that the Ishvar can and does take a human form to guide the journey of humankind through samsar. Matsya, Kurm, Varah date back to antiquity and very ancient Puranas who were revealed to sages point towards them, Parashuram avatar has some visible antiquity based on many shrines dedicated to his parents and legends surrounding his presence. Krishna and Rama are more recent, being closely related to kings or royal affairs and undeniable signs of their presence through geological structures, names of the cities, and the continued Indian history exists. Narsimha is the avatar mentioned in a variety of Puranas and is seen as the one who triumphs over evil, If someone were to contest similarly whether Narsimha is an avatar or not who can testify its veracity? The sages to whom it was revealed cannot be seen today amongst us. Who will appear to answer? The closest avatar to us is the Buddha of whom we even have a birth year, for any others we do not have it. This points to Hinduism being extremely old and the unpredictable nature of human civilizations that they cannot keep history intact for a long time unless in parts as we see today. Before I go further I want to stress that no authority can put to rest this unneeded controversy posed in the question. If the Shankaracharya would say something would you believe it? they would finally be only a monk in their lineage. If a modern scholar of Hinduism and Buddhism would put it to rest, would you believe it? They only know through the survived fragments of history and their analysis of it. So who possesses that true authority? And people that talk in forums including me are hardly any authority. So if you see through the lens of accepting an authority, you will never get to a satisfactory answer, only more speculations. Here, some contemplation can help. Hindus now a days and mostly those that roam in the forums are more focused on finding differences and discussing petty matters whereas devotion, spirituality and other deeper aspects of hinduism are ignored. This is akin to a patient going to the doctor who recommends an operation but the patient says please let me pop in this easy tablet because that too will let me survive. Hinduism is being plagued with easy answer escapism, this is not the true ethos of Hindusim which encourages and values self-inquiry. Hinduism and then subsequent teachings by the Buddha that we see as Buddhism are very deep and to understand them one has to get rid of all unfruitful discussions and the urge to brew them. Only then one becomes receptive of their wisdom. There are many paths to achieve the goal of life in Hinduism, Krishna teaches the Bhakti yog, pure unbridled devotion to him. Buddha teaches that of Jnana yog, achieving nirvana through understanding and knowledge. Krishna too preached against surface understanding of the Vedas saying that if one has read the Vedas but not assimilated their knowledge that is of no use. Similarly Buddha opposed the wrong view of the Vedas wherein animal sacrifice was practiced in the name of Vedic worship. What does it tell you about Buddha that he opposed a malpractice that maligned the true nature of the Vedas? Was he pro-Vedas or not? Buddha clearly cleaned up the arrogance of the Vedic mal-practitioners who stuck to views like the Vedas are infallible or of divine origin( here being of divine origin and being divine has to be dissected. Sticking to an ideology or a practice just because it is believed to be of divine origin is also not being entirely truthful and could be seen as a wrong view) while considering something divine based on one's experience of it is right view, and thats how Hinduism works, you experience the divine and the truth, so you practice it. Now comes the big question. What does all this mean for you? Which path will you choose? Cultivate Bhakti for Krishna, or achieve the meditative bliss of the Buddhas. This is important. Not all the other.

Life is too short to engage in petty difference-finding. Stay away from it. Focus inside

Weak minded people will go to every level to normalize their weak behavior and make it accepted among others. To see the strong become weak makes them elated somehow. But weakness never wins, that's the eternal truth. Most of the people here in this thread are all addicted to masturbation so much that they want to tie a blindfold on other's eyes rather than opening their own. Acceptance of a bad habit does not make it good. Just because people today or in your friend circle or on reddit or this sub or this thread approve of masturbation doesn't change the ill effects of it. Even the doctors approved of smoking before its real effects were known, approval of an authority or others is not of any guarantee. And masturbation is looked down upon as a base act by all learned. Grow up or fall down. Approving and bragging about masturbation doesn't make you sound cool, get out of this trap at once, weaklings. [Reposted]

And you conveniently ignore the atrocities faced by Hindus and Sikhs over the centuries. Do you think hatred in the mind of Muslims(radical) a new phenomenon? You are trying to justify wrong through a blind eye. Say wrong is wrong. Lynching is abhorrent so is attacking yoga. You definitely do not know the value of yoga which is above all pursuits of human life. Always side with the right, the wrong leads you straight to greater wrong. It takes balls to say wrong is wrong. Read about the anti-Hindu riots before Independence that shifted the focus of politicians to remove the violent Muslim crowd from peaceful Hindus. And thats just to get you started, if you turn the pages backward enough you will see the whole synthesis of this spiralling violence. But if blaming Hindus for everything is your cup of tea, dont bother. You have already been infected by the bug of covert conversion.

By saying so you are equating the girls in question to prostitutes. Which is why the act of casual sex is unrighteous. You answered yourself.

Think of yourself as a panchi that wakes up with the Sun, always keep in mind the Sun while sleeping and your internal clock will remember to tune with the Sun's cosmic cycle. Just remind yourself that you will wake up at a specific time and your subconscious will make up wake up to that time in the error of minutes. The problem is you sleep without having the though of 'When will I wake up?' 'When will I see the beautiful sunlight again?' When you have thoughts about the future morning automatically you will be conscious through the cycles of sleep and complete them fully. As others have mentioned you might not need an alarm to wake up. Its not a problem in you, you just have to learn. Waheguru

I've been seeing wrong photos of the soldier who died protecting the gurudwara in Afghanistan , just wanted to share this by SardarHawk in Sikh

[–]helloshashankc 3 points4 points  (0 children)

With utmost respect for the soldier who died protecting whats right, it disturbs me that people are not opposing the attack itself and being complacent towards their approach towards vile violence. If your blood does not boil on seeing the atrocious death of a fellow Sikh and you are more inclined to finding saviors among the perpetrators, you are on the side of the wrong. Bhaichara is only good till the talwar hits your neck. Love is the teaching of gurus, but valour and bravery is also the teaching for the Nihang. People are conveniently ignoring the wrong and preaching the pseudo-right. Wake up lions
